Well i'm going to have to state this anyway
Go frost.
If you can't go frost, go arcane.
Fire is the hardest spec to make work in pvp.
Spellpower and crit are the stats that firemages perfer. If your not 100% certain fire is for you, aim for spellpower.
If you later go frost/arcane, crit isn't very useful as they perfer haste over crit.
From what i understand, your bread and butter pvp spell is going to be scorch spam, with pyroballs when you get hotstreak.
Fireball just takes too long to get off.
If you go fire/arc, you can pick up torment of the weak, but since the only real snare you'll have is cone of cold, i don't see it being that useful except when others are applying the snare for you.
You could go fire/frost and pick up frost warding, which would allow your damage shields a 35% reflect, and a 30% absorb effect, for a 65% avoidance ward which is really dangerious to frost/fire nukers, as well as icey veins.
I'm sure theres a pvp thread about fire somewhere in the helpful threads

I agree that Frost or Arcane would be better for PVP for the mobility standpoint. I love Arcane in PVE and think it works will in PVP because of the instants, etc. But if you are wedded to Fire, my advice is a FFB spec and go Frostfire.
Your rotation (assume you survive long enough) would be Living Bomb, Scorch then FFB spam until LB wears off. Pyroblast when Hot Streak comes up (I have an Addon that chimes whenever that happens). Rinse and repeat. Blastwave/Dragon's Breath are useful for when they get too close (God I hope I'm talking to a Hordie here :-)
Crit, then Crit, then Crit then Spellpower (possibly more crit after that) are what you want to look for in Gems and Enchants and buffs. Glyph of Scorch, Frostfire and Molten Armor are your major glyphs. Minor ones are inconsequential (except for Slow Fall...)
Do lots of WB to get your honor up and buy your Deadly Glad gear. Vault whenever possible to get higher PVP gear as well.
