Gold post. Err… 1,000th post.
Pretty much agree with anything here. Oh, by the way: I'm always behind the boss. ‘Rouge doez it from behind’. Even dragonkins, yep. They fear me.

Personally I tend to stick to the left-rear, don't know why...
On Koralon for example the tank always pulls him to the right of the room and all the DPS clutter to the right, I like seeing my character :P
Other than that, I usually browse the Rogue forums to see if someone needs help understanding something, like "Why is strength useless for Rogues" etc... but I just ignore the "roflnoobzor rait mi 28/13/30 redding specc"
Anyways, thelazypeon's threads are always hilarious to read...
I know this forum is supposed to help players, but come on, does everyone really believe their question has never been asked before? What's the point of having a 3.2 FAQ if everyday at least 5 players ask "what leveling spec" etc

You really really shouldn't name'n'shame people like that on public forums. Especially guildies.

Quick reply to what you had posted regarding Backstap as a CP builder, Heath: I'm not saying the math you put was wrong, it just seems to me that due to the heavy movement in most pvp fights, Mutilate seems the better option due to no positional requirements.
Back on topic, I just saw the guy's armory you linked, and I know how frustrating it can be when a player with equal (or better) gear than you in your guild utterly fails in DPS. Back when I was raiding seriously with my guild, a warlock who I really get along with was always present at every single raid, and thus had the best gear of all the warlocks in the guild, full tier 8.5 mind you when I was in 4/5 tier 7.5, but was only around 10th for DPS.
I just too some time posting in the Warlock forum here on WoWHead to ask what he was doing wrong and took some time getting his player tuned up to have his DPS reflect his gear (that's only something I'd do for guildmates, because as a team we all have to do our job, and as a raid officer it sort of was my job).
Now I've heard his DPS is still lagging behind even with "leet" gear, but I guess that's just how some players are, as long as they're average in DPS they'll be happy, they won't spend time looking for ways to maximize their DPS, but then again they'll just play WoW to have fun and chill with guild mates, something a lot of players have forgotten WoW is all about...
ArPen is dead too by the way, i read this just today, though how or why i'm not sure.
Don't go to the PvE forums, it seems Resilience is the new Dodge for tanks..

From Warlock forums, I think this applies well to Rogue forums too
I find questions falling into these categories;
1. Q - Rate my build? A - your build sucks, go read the stickies. Don't mess with them as they have been tested over and over by way smarter people than you.
2. Q - Is my gear OK? A - no, read the stickies. Hit isn't some mystery, crit/int gems are bad, and enchants are your friend.
3. Q - why do I suck at pvp? A - because you don't have experience, incorrect build, wrong glyphs, or a combination of all 3 (usually this). The stickies will help considerably.
4. Every once in a while there will be a real good question. These are few and far between. Chances are that if you asked any one of the first three recently you will not be asking this kind of question.
