We're always accepting exceptional applications from any class/role. Irrespective of the needs outlined above, if you are an exceptional player with the drive to succeed, we want to hear from you.
Raid Times & Raid Schedule:During progression, CM sticks to it's four day a week schedule, raiding Wednesday/Friday/Sunday/Monday from 7:00pm until 11:00pm (sometimes later). We raid EST. Our weekly raiding schedule is greatly reduced during non-progression periods, as we tend to get everything done in one or two nights and have the rest of the week off. Our guild was formed in the days of Blackwing Lair, and has retained strong and consistent leadership since its formation, with many raiders have been with the guild for a year or more and been playing wow since vanilla release. Over the lifespan of the guild, we have found that our more relaxed raid schedule has consistently produced success.
Our progression focus is 25-person raids and achievements. We do also complete all of the 10-person content on off nights, and this in turn helps our 25 person progression. We have achieved numerous realm firsts and regularly appear in the top 100 world guilds and top 50 US guilds.

What We're Looking For:We’re looking for players who know their class inside and out and can play their class flawlessly when the pressure is on. Ideal applicants are always looking for ways to improve and always keep themselves up-to-date on the latest and greatest class-specific practices, as well as boss and dungeon strategies. The best applicants always maximize their potential not only by having knowledge and play skills, but also by having the best enchants, gems, and consumables available to them.
Our applicants must also be prepared to receive constructive criticism and feedback during their application period, and beyond. Our guild is always seeking to improve, and it starts with our application process -- we want the best players available, and we want them to perform well consistently as an applicant and ultimately as a member.
Critical Mass is an adult guild with a mature membership and atmosphere. (Most of the time...) Especially during progression raids when we desire maximum focus, we try to keep chatter and silliness to a minimum. However, we’re still just another group of players having fun playing the game, and we certainly don’t take ourselves too seriously. We want players who can take a joke and have fun, but also understand when its time to be serious and focused.
Finally, in our applicants we seek reliability. One of the major strengths of CM has always been a dedicated and reliable raid force. We run a very tight roster and have very few sit outs on raid nights, and we do not recruit new players as benchwarmers. Applicants can expect to get a lot of face time in our raids immediately. We expect extremely high attendance (most of our membership hovers in the range of 90-100% raid attendance from month to month). That said, we also realize that everyone has real lives and simply request that if you must miss scheduled raid time you let us know in advance (we have a conflicts forum solely for that purpose).
