here's something i'm having a small problem with. when ur characters are talking ur using ' which is kind of harder to see then " which is what i usually look for to indicate a character speaking.
And don't worry about getting much feedback....i tried it to and i got like very few people to even read it.

' and " are both acceptable. ;)

Alls fine, except for a few points.
Take a new line when using either ' or ". Its grammar.
General Grammar.
Just reminding, another little grammar point. Using speech, in a single speech, should you need to say something else, i.e
"Stop!" He yelled "I can't..." Blah blah, simply continue without using a new sentence. Although, a new sentence from a different speaker requires a new sentence, if that makes sense.

' and " are both acceptable. ;)
A single apostrophe is only acceptable when quoting within a quote.
Example:
"He said, 'Hi there,' and I returned the greeting."

You can use ' to denote speech as well, and then use " to quote within a quote. :P
I've read books with both options, and it's not really that different heh. I've started using ' instead of " for some reason. I don't know, maybe it looks nicer.
