Bioware makes some good games
Unfortunately, they also have a lot of bugs. But yes, their games are the best, they are even slightly better than Blizzard.
First of all Blizzard only has 1 rpg and that's an MMO, so I don't even know how you can compare them.
Secondly, Bioware games are a lot less buggy than most other games of their size. I ran into 1 bug in unpatched Mass Effect and I remember one or two bugs in Baldur's Gate, but that's it.

First of all, I said games, not just roleplaying games.
Secondly, while I didn't run into many bugs in BG2 or Mass Effect either, I did run into craploads in both Star Wars KOTOR 1&2 (especially 1) and Neverwinter Nights 2. And, as I said before, I ment their their games in general, not just one or two of them.

Well, it depends on what you want in a game, I guess. What makes Bioware games so amazing, aside from their amazing stories, is how your actions affect your character and the actual story, and much more.
You can't claim that either one is better than the other, you can only say which one you prefer, and I prefer Bioware.

I can quote Wikipedia too....
An action role-playing game is a loosely-defined video game genre based on role-playing combat systems. These games feature a play style reminiscent of action games
rather than being structured around a
true
Role-playing game system.

Fine, but as I said before, we were talking about all their games, not just RPGs, so bringing RPGs up in the first place was unnecessary.

Hyperspace, you're arguing whether or not an RPG is an RPG. Yes, it is not a JRPG, but it is an RPG. If a system uses stats and skill points to determine success or failure when making actions, it is an RPG. There's a reason WoW is considered an MMORPG - the RPG part isn't just there to make it look fancy.

squaresoft makes good rpgs no mistake there, the finnest RPG I've ever played in my entire life was Chrono trigger, and followed closely by Final Fantasy 6 7 8 and 10.
having said that, while square's RPG,s are nice, they lack something that bioware's RPG's have.
choise.
on squaresoft, games, you controll a character that has been made for you, on bioware you make the character, and I don't mean just choosing gender, or face, or clothes, or anthing like that.
you make teh character because you can choose how you will behave on a massive expanisve world, often being a jerk, or a saint, depending on what do you want.
on square's games, u don't do that, if u play Final Fantasy 7, when controlling cloud, u're allways gonna be a jerk on the first disk, u can't change that, or choose a more kind response, cloud changes by himself as you advance the plot.
same goes for squall, on FF 8, he's all shy, reserved, quited, and has the same Leave-me-the-hell-alone personality, and there's nothing YOU can do about it, squall does changes into quite a cool character and an amazing leader, but he does so by himself, you don't get any saying on his behaviuor.
however on bioware games, there is no line of morality laid in fron of you.
both your lvl of politeness, as well as the personality of your character are decided by you.
as a last note, blizzard dont' really makes RPG's because on diablo you don't roleplay whatsoever, you just choose a character, and hack&slash your way from point A to point B. you never find yourself making choises.
your character never speaks a word, and has an unknonw reason for doing what he/she does.
blizz's RPG games are simply hack&slashers with stats trown inside.
a real RPG is when you're litteraly INSIDE someone, and have teh ability to make that someone act as you see fit.

I like having a central story. The only problem is with WoW, there is a very weak central story, yet at the same time there really isn't that "write your own story" feel. IMO, WoW really doesn't have much of a story at all. Helping Hobo Bigtoe deliver apples isn't a story IMO. A story has a protagonist and an antagonist, and some sort of conflict between them, along with other side characters. It has rising action, a climax, and resolution. In a static world, I'd rather have a linear story than a sandbox (although if the world is actually dynamic, then sandboxes are a lot of fun).

So the Burning Legion is just a bunch of Care-bears?
Just 'cause we haven't seen an "ultimate resolution" (ie - Everything is fine with everyone, no more conflict.) doesn't mean it will never happen. But we do see the mini-storylines being resolved!
