I speak when seen, I say what they wanna see. I listen with your mind and feel with your sight. I end my speech when you turn off the lights.
I'm correct all the time. I'm exchanged at will. I can only be used till you run out.
Your eyes.

A man turns off the light before he goes to bed, and he sleeps all night. When he wakes up, he immediately goes out and buys a newspaper. He reads he is responsible for many deaths. How is this possible?
He's in jail for those deaths already.
Hmm... I never thought of that, but the answer I was looking for was that he was the lighthouse master, and the ships crashed because he turned off the light.

In some jail, there are minimarkets that prisoners can buy with money they make by doing community jobs and such.
In those mini markets you can buy food/newspaper/condom and other commodity stuff. It is to give a feeling to prisoners that if they help and act nice, they get a reward.
I heard both way of the riddle. The lighthouse keeper and the prisoner. When it is the prisoner, usually the sentence just say "When he wakes up, he pick up newspaper" (no mention of get out and go buy).

I am what I am, as long as you don't know what I am.
When you know what I am, I no longer am what I am.
This thing confused the hell out of me the first time I heard it..
