The frog one is obvious, if there's lillypads everywhere it wouldn't have to jump to reach the edge of the pond. I think for the Romeo and Juliet thing, you're saying that they're a book and the train going by caused a vase to fall over and spill onto the book. I wouldn't say they were "dead" then.

The Romeo and Juliet one wasn't quite right, nice answer, but not the one i was after... tip = don't assume R+J are humans!
With the frog one, might wanna re-read the riddle, look carefully at the wording ;)
R+J are two fish.

hmm, hadnt thought about that, pity riddles don't always have one answer... in this case the frog is "dead in the centre" - dead frogs can't jump - hence the differation with "this species" of frog, as opposed o the actual frog in question.
Some awesoem riddles being posted up tho :)

Q. -
Often talked of, never seen,
Ever coming, never been,
Daily looked for, never here,
Still approaching, coming near.
Thousands for it's visit wait
But alas for their fate,
Tho' they expect me to appear,
They will never find me here.

The future.
Not exactly . . . the answer I was looking for was "tomorrow", but I'll accept "the future".

A type of lily is extremely fast growing in a pond. Its pond coverage doubles every minute. If the lily is placed into the pond at 8:00am, and it fully covers the pond at 11:00am, at what time is the pond half-covered?
