Thats why they're releasing a new 5 man dungeon so the people who are stuck on ToC and the freshly ding 80s can just gear right up for the ICC raid.

I haven't stepped foot in a single raid on my second paladin, yet I'm geared enough to tank and dps Ulduar-25. Next patch they're upping the emblems even more, and there should be enough gear to get into ToC without stepping foot in any other raids.

But also, I don't think it's fair that you can just farm TotC Normal for your gear? :(
Is that a statement or are you asking us what
you
think?
In what sense could it be unfair? Is it unfair for the new players? No, it helps them. Is it unfair for the veteran players? No, they're past that. Is it unfair to people who start sentences with "In my day..."? No, but they'll tell you it is.

No what I'm saying about TotC is.
The 80s that have been 80s for a while, before TotC, they had to work for their gear.
But now, the new 80s can just do a few runs of totc, and done.
So it is rather unfair to 'veteran' players.
As a veteran player and raider prior to 3.2 (as in, I didn't need anything from ToC normal when it came out), I'm telling you, no, it's not.
Why should I care that someone else has to do less work to get the gear I have? I've had my gear a long time and I've already got a big head start into the next raid instance. Chances are, unless I stop trying, I'm going to continue to out-gear people who put in less effort than me forever.
Blizzard releases an expansion.
Raiders level up and start raiding
Casuals (for lack of a better term) level up and start doing dungeons.
Raiders get ilvl 200-226 epics. Casuals get ilvl 187-200 blues.
Blizzard releases a patch.
Raiders move up to the new raid with their epics.
Casuals keep doing the same stuff (moving on to heroics).
Raiders get ilvl 219-239 epics. Casuals get ilvl 200 blues-200 epics.
Blizzard releases a patch.
Raiders move up to the new raid with their epics.
Casuals get a new instance (yay, finally).
Raiders get ilvl 232-258 epics. Casuals get ilvl 200-219 epics.
New guy just hits 80. New guy does dungeons (after getting kicked out a lot for lack of gear and achievements). New guy gets ilvl 200-219 epics.
Raiders don't care. Casuals might not even notice either.
I see no way this is considered unfair to the raiders.

Do you think Blizzard are moving along with Gear to fast?
I mean, it wasn't all that long ago that they released Tier 9. And now Tier 10s coming out?
Becos' for new level 80s, they wont be able to ever get into groups, as they will have no gear, when everyone else is getting Tier 10.
So I would think for them to slow down tbh.

If you havent noticed. Tier 9 can be purchased right outside the TOC 10 men entrance. That is too darn easy to get. I am pretty sure Tier 10 would require really huge amount of skills to get em. Regardless of blizzard's pace of making gears.
PS: I kinda dislike the mage Tier 10 tbh. =S its almost like Tier 7
EDIT: Or is it because they are about to release the expension and can only complete the development of WotLK by squeezing their project's deadlines short.
