Leveling Action Bar, build decisions

Hello, I'm a Lonehwolf on Blade's Edge realm (EU), and this is my first time playing this class.
I've fallen in love with the playstyle priests are built up from, but I have some issues in regards of the leveling build, and setting up my action bars to play out nicely.
I'm using Careless Whisper, with Vuhdo (includes Bartender4) and I'd like to come up with a solid action bar setup which I can build on until level 80, while keeping it organized and understandable. I'm not exactly looking for a spell per box idea of setting it up sine this differs from user to user, but just in general what you would have in the first 5 slots (1<=>5), other spells one could bind to separate keys (e.g. T => PW:Shield) and such.
Also, having read the energizer post, seems that a holy build wouldn't be bad for leveling, and I'd be happy with it seeing that priests are great healers and i could truly fill my role through healing, but having tried it, my mana gets raped (currently level 24), so I was wondering, if I were to, at level 25, switch to the suggested disc build to preserve mana, would my dps be the one to get raped? I'm not really popping flares as it stands, if it's gonna get any lower (ain't got glyph of smite yet), I don't think I'll cope in this area...

Get the glyph.
If you need mana, your DPS will lower, but only slightly. At level 24 you do not have access to all of the talents which boost your DPS (Spiritual Guidance, SoL etc.)
Basically, if you need more mana, take the DPS suffer. Also, try getting the
wand
from a quest in BFD, it's very good for your level.

Re mana situation:
1) OMG GET GLYPH
2) Get gear. Seriously, your gear setup looks like an application for a "Level your priest while having the worst gear possible" competition! If you have any religious reason to avoid instances, at least get some crafted / quest blue pieces. At the moment, your spellpower and spirit are
extremely
low. Low spirit means your Spirit Tap regen is weak. Low SP means you end up needing too many casts to down a mob (Glyph of Smite will reduce the number by 1, I guess).
Until you get better gear, do
*not*
get Meditation. You will get 16 mp5 for full Meditation with your current gear. If you take into account the duration of the fights while leveling, you will see that it's negligibly low and won't solve your current problems. Go deeper into holy for dps until you get some spirit & SP.
3) Remember to pre-shield at least 7 seconds before the pull (the fact that the
Holy Fire debuff
lasts the same amount of time just
has
to be a coincidence!) This way, you get the least amount of pushback due to casting without your shield, hence less DPS is lost => mob dying faster => less mana wasted for healing yourself.
As for action bar setup, as Energizer you basically use 3 spells in your "rotation": Smite, Holy Fire, PW:Shield. My keybind setup was HF to "Q" and Smite to "E". PW:S as 2, Renew as 3. (You shouldn't be using larger heals while killing normal mobs. Ideally, in a long-ish fight you reapply your shield and renew in the small window between the expiration of Holy Fire debuff & end of Holy Fire cooldown.) Put Psychic Scream somewhere in a convenient spot for those emergency occasions. In general, aim to keybind everything you ever use. Don't leave spells on bars for clicking 'em, it gets you into a bad habit which is hard to get out of later.

Thanks for the replies :)
1: Sorry, the UI is Careless Whisper, I had SpartainUI name stick to my head so I typed that out first (fixed now :p). I find the UI fairly comfortable, with 3 stacks of bars to work with, and I don't need them to big, since I never was a clicker.
2: The Glyph I'm going for asap lol, was just low on gold (we started on a completely new realm after a good break from wow.)
3: As already mentioned, we started anew, so friends to powerlevel aren't aplenty, although 2 of us created DKs to help a bit with boosting, so if you have any instance that are must-run for priest gear. Currently level 24 :)
4: That Action Bar setup appears to be more oriented for higher levels since most of those spells I don't have access towards, as of yet :p But I do like a couple of letter binds you got - thanks for the idea! :D
In general I just want the bloody-fastest way of leveling, so spending too much time in an instance, so do you guys think respeccing Disc to have more mana dependibility, thus becoming as such at level 25:

So let me know about the respec please, and maybe a couple of basic action bar settings direct towards level 25s and such, as well as any instances worth checking out for the items - I know I'm aksing too much but any you can help with please do! >.<

As far as the action bar set up goes - that's how it is always going to be. You can start to fill in the slots as you get the spells (i.e. - once you get Flash Heal, put it at F, once you get Prayer of Healing, put it at 4). I also use "Scroll up" to use my 2nd action bar, where I have my DPS spells for when I'm soloing. I have my DoT's at the beginning: 1 - SW:P, 2 - Devouring Plague. Then, 3 - Holy Fire. And then I go into the Casts: 4 - Mind Blast, 5 - Smite, and finally 6 - Penance. Fill this bar in as you get your spells, and put your Wand after your last damaging spell. Once again - personal preference, but I have found that this works pretty well for me.
As far as the "bloody-fastest way of levelling," if you're not going to be healing instances as you level up, there really isn't too much of a point in going Disc/Holy. Shadow quests very quickly and very efficiently, especially after hitting Outlands.
Understood, it's just that from
this topic here
, I read that a holy build goes much faster. I guess I'll have to remove that from my head, since the damage was fairly weak shadow wise. Is that so?

Leveling shadow is actually much slower until you hit 40 and get shadow form. Until 40, I recommend going only a few points into shadow for spirit tap, and the rest in holy for a smite based build. Believe me, it will level quicker and funner than shadow, at least until 40.
Once you do hit 40, respec to full shadow. Pumping out DoTs feels almost warlock-like, and you can actually go around in BGs just DoTing up everyone. It feels kinda good :D
Thanks for the post - this was exactly what I was driving at :) I noticed that shadow wasn't a bad build, but felt mediocre at the early levels, where what matters is chain killing. Having got a nice gear update, although nowhere close to through with it yet, I could plough through mobs far easier now. Atm gonna be pumping points in discipline since I'm just about satisfied with mana as it stands. I do need to rely on my int elixirs and a friend who makes me int scrolls through inscription to be able to pump a couple more spells and be more effective, but I do get the job done that way :)
Still, any suggestion for gear pieces? I got the defias brotherhood final quest and will rush the instance for that as well as cookie's wand, hopefully, which I use to finish off the mobs.

Try getting boosts in SFK and BFD, maybe RFK or Gnomeregan too. As I said, the wand from a BFD quest is ridiculously good for its level.

Thanks, I'll be going all over those, I feel I got comfortable with my priest at this stage, a nice 2k mana unbuffed at level 27, with more than enough spells that scream "DIE", I'll be working on disciple build since mana efficiency I'm more than happy, and damage wise I find it very effective. A holy -> disc build really does it for me.
