"What isn't?" he asked, hearing what she muttered. He noted how she reached to the back of her neck, now suspecting something.
"What are you hiding?" Anrein asked.

Anrein walked up to her, motioning for her to stop scratching. When he got closer, he saw a metal in the back of her neck.
"Hold on," he said, taking out his goggles and equipping them. It took a few moments for them to come online, but as soon as they did, he was able to see through the skin and inspect the metal.
"Oh no," he muttered, shaking his head, "you let yourself get a mana sink attached to you," he said.

"It's a type of device that absorbs mana, all of it. It can be tapped into with a certain spell or device, but until you get this out, you can't use magic," he said to her

"This is why I don't use magic," he muttered, "at least technology only fails if there is a valid reason," he said, backing away.
"I suggest you find that medic and find out why he put that in. Only he has the machine or device to get that out of you," Anrein said, leaning against a boulder.

Anrein tinkered with his goggles, making updates and tweaks while waiting. He tried to adjust the functions, ranging from long distance sight to being able to see through rock and such.
"I wish that gnome would have just let me make the blueprints," he muttered, accidently shocking himself again.

Anrein heard Alexxa say she was ready, nodding and taking his goggles off.
"We'll need to travel off the main path, the naga have long taken control of it, so we can't risk being taken as prisoners," he said, taking his blade out, "and how did the medic do?" he asked.

"You know how the blood elves fell into a withdrawal from no magic?" he said, the high elf nodding, "well, it's more then likely once you went by long enough, you'd start to go through the same thing, and he could make you do whatever he wanted as long as you could get some magic back," Anrein said. It was only a theory, but it was the best he had.
"Or something like that," he finished.

"Amazing that they do that eh?" he said, now walking off the main path, "though you're lucky you caught it early before too much was done. You shouldn't keep things like that a secret," Anrein said.

Anrein shrugged, knowing he wasn't the person to give advice about what to do and not do about problems usually.
"Why do you keep your hood up all the time?" he asked, not seeing any reason behind it.

"Eh, believe what you want to believe," he said, stepping over and jumping up on some large mushrooms to get above a large lake in front of them. A trail of these large mushrooms led across the lake, providing a shortcut.
"C'mon now," he said to her, jumping from pad to pad.
