I think he did it well enough. There are loads of characters which could have Lorewise made their faction go rogue, not just Sylvanas.
That's for another thread though, and I'm looking forward to the fourth part.

First off, I love how Sylvanas is a evil witch that she is, and is no longer up for debate on her evilness, and that she is finally a antagonist, but I don't think you did it right. I think the only way she would join a evil group like that was if she could being the absolute unquestionable leader, other-wise it is considered slavery in her eyes.
Like with Varimathras.Ah, but the biggest thing here on the forums for Sylvanas is.... she's only joined the Horde to keep her Forsaken alive. So, when Deathwing sent an ambassador to her and said point blank: Join us, or your undead people die, she choose to keep her people alive, even if means turning her back on her Blood Elf allies. But during the Horde chapter, you'll see more on this.
Second, is this Shadowsong person by any chance the daughter of Jarod and Shandis? That would totally rock :)
If so, I hope she becomes a real character. Not telling heh.

I rather like Sylvanas, and it's a shame that I am one of the only people here who feels that way... :(
(As far as I know, at least...)

Well, it's not that I don't like Varian, or think that you shouldn't be allowed to like him. It's just that a) You tend to act like he can do no wrong (just from my observations of our debates) and b) You tend to be rather pushy about your beliefs when it comes to Varian. (e.g. "I hope he kills that %$#@ Garona" or "I can't wait until he hangs Sylvanas' burning corpse from the walls of Undercity like the witch she is").
I like Sylvanas. I don't really support parts of her agenda (killing humans, for example), but I feel sorry for her character and hope she gets her revenge on the Lich King. I don't hate Varian, but I don't support his agenda either.

The problem is that a good Alliance leader in the Horde player's eyes is someone who lets them walk all over the Alliance, so Varian often gets dubbed with names like "emo" or "cry-baby".Not someone who will let the Horde walk over the Alliance, simply someone who isn't intent on wiping the Horde out. I'm pro-peace. I don't like Garrosh, even though he has only the Horde goals in mind. Thrall cares for the innocent on boths sides. Garrosh and Varian only care about their own side.
Would you honestly want Thrall to do nothing if it turns out the night elfs were secretly trying to destroy all orcs? Would you really want him to just let a crime like that slip?If that were the case, I would believe it would be right to do away with those responsible (or let the Alliance do it), but I would not support the wiping out of all Night Elves everywhere because of that.
How can you not hate somone, you just hate everything they do?Because revenge against the humans is only part of Sylvanas. Her first and foremost goal is taking revenge on the Lich Knig for what he put her through and I support that.

Everyone acts like they know what a "proper" king would do, when in truth they seems to know nothing of the Medevial or Renassiance eras... I've just got to say - Medieval was not all about war. It was about land, and gaining the prestige of the Catholic Church. The Renaissance was the start of Royal families' power being reduced.
I am afraid I can not feel sorry for someone who takes thier revenge out on innocent civilans. But you don't mind Varian killing people in cold blood. These two points contradict eachother hugely.
my heart goes out to Kael'thas
.... But I am afraid I feel
no pity
for Sylvanas or the
Blood elves.
Kael'thas made them Blood Elves. He made them what they were, and to an extent what they remain.
How can you not hate somone, you just hate everything they do?
I know this isn't directed to me personally, but I feel it's a question very much open to interpretation. I don't hate everything about Varian, but I hate what he wants to do, commit genocide. I hate Daelin in the same way.

Just read it hehe, nice work. However, I'm surprised you didn't hint anything about Vereesa and Sylvanas' blood relationship in part 4.

However, I'm surprised you didn't hint anything about Vereesa and Sylvanas' blood relationship in part 4.I could have.... but it wouldn't have added much for the first part. Darion is more angry that he didn't recieve any back up when the Pinnacle fell as opposed to caring if the High Elf is related to the Dead Elf.

No, I meant Vereesa mentioning something, or feeling regret about having to go to war with her sister. It made her seem quite like a heartless %^&*!, and I sort of like it.
Also, have the Sue-kids blew up Deathwing and saved the world from every threat as well as seduced every attractive person in Azeroth and beyond yet? :3
Darkton, keep it related to the story in some way if possible, or take it somewhere else...

/Sigh
Take it to the Varian thread lol.
Anyone have any comments on part 4?

As for the Vereesa thing... well she did lose her husband, and I actually like that comment I made about Darion not killing her because of the promise he made to Rhonin...... heh.
Everyone is hard in this world, so if Vereesa comes off as heartless... I'm doing my job.

Ughh... You really need to see how real life works, pal...I know how real life works, and it works differently from Warcraft.
I am sorry, but last I checked Varian supported the interment camps over killing all orcs. Please stop automaticly assuming he wants to destroy all orcs, just the ones responsible for crimes. When did it say Varian supported the camps? The only indication of this I ever saw was Varian sticking by Terenas' side when Trollbane and Greymane left, but that could very well be due to Terenas taking Varian in.
The rest could really go to the Twisting Neather for all the Alliance cares... of coruse, since the orcs really could not care less for the lives of human children, since they set up raiding partys on travelers before Varian declared war...Heh... First of all, I don't know what raiding parties you're talknig about, and second, it's rather silly to say that because some orcs don't care about the humans that they all don't. Saurfang and Thrall both specifically address the death of children.
What if the Alliance claimed peace while they knew and did not care about the night elfs experimenting on innocent orcs?
Then what? What if the entire Alliance did not care? Should they be "do away with" as well? No, I'd continue to try to work things out diplomatically. To prevent the death of more. Including children.
Edit: And we should really take this to the Varian thread.

Mmm Just read it Adamsm fantastic as usual I didn't expect Darion to wield The Ashbringer
Heh, why not? He had the blade first after all, makes sense it would go back to him after Tirion died against the Lich King.
