What if they implement the stories of warcraft with Lotr or Tolkiens fantasies? For example: After the lotr they're still goblins and war hungered orcses, that are still threatening the middle earth and a beginning of another new age. An age of war that will be known as Warcraft with many consequenses and about seeking the lost knowledge of Sauron and Saruman. New lands will be discovered and named, some will be lost.
Will this be epic or will it ruin the tolkiens known series of lotr? It will be nice if the fantasies will be further written. I don't know about this. Just making up this story. :)
Not every fantasy story has to be related to other fantasy stories.
But while we're making up absurdities, Jaina was at one point the Headmistress of Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, and Balnazzar is set to make a guest appearance in the next season of Supernatural.

@ r2b1991: Well, it wouldn't 'ruin' Tolkien's work (since that is already in its final form, it's not really ruinable), but as Murph points out, it would be rather jarring to couple Tolkien's Middle-earth with Blizzard's Azeroth.
You can find plenty of fan fiction of Tolkien's work, so if you like that sort of thing you can go look for it. Or write it yourself.

No, he would be close to the High Elves and Humans....since you know, up until recently, Night Elves shunned magic after they blew up the world. Also: Silvermoon is High/Blood Elves, not Nights.

i said that the architecture in rivendell looks like that in silvermoon. silvermoon: blood elves, not night elves.
The night elves are more like the lorien elves
I already addressed elven architecture.
The blood elves are similar to the elves of rivendel, due to the same building structure, and looks. The night elves look the same as the wood elves (galadriel folk) and they live in the trees.
They are also similar to the elves because they were once immortal! they are also one with animals....
Blood elves have a fairly rich lore. Though their physical appearance resembles Tolkien's elves, with pointed ears and fair complexion, that's another fantasy standard. However, their architecture is not at all like that of the Rivendell elves. The blood elf buildings are elegant and cylindrical, with curling ramps leading to upper levels and in all things an arc or curve; Rivendell, on the other hand, has buildings that are more square, as seen in the maps crafted for
The Atlas of Middle-Earth
.
Night elves, sharing more or less the same skeleton (programming-wise) as the blood elves, would obviously look quite similar, but the elves in Mirkwood and Lothlorien certainly don't have skin of such a dark tone, nor hair of such unusual color. The appearance of the night elves is more akin to the Drow of Dungeons & Dragons than anything that comes to mind in
Lord of the Rings
. The architecture of Lothlorien, however, is something between that seen in the elven races of Azeroth- it has the elegance seen in blood elf architecture, while blending itself with the trees and environment, similar to night elf buildings, though in the latter case the night elves have crafted their dwellings and such out of the trees themselves rather than through construction and masonry.

Tolkien's Elves do not have pointed ears. There is no textual indication that they do.
High/Blood elves
may
have a fair complexion (all the way to downright pale), but they may also have very dark 'sunburned' skin, probably an allusion to their sun-theme.

This; it's the other media that have painted the elves of Middle Earth with pointed ears, not the original content.

This was something I was corrected on a page or two ago; by hymer, no less! :P
I didn't edit the original post to reflect that, but I did admit my error. I mainly just quoted the original post, unedited, because I directly addressed the exact point that Tolkienlover brought up about architecture in that post.

In the LOTR movie trilogy, most of the large battleground scenes are created by using CGI armies controlled by a computer program.
In WoW battlegrounds, most of the... you see where I'm going here.
