After the merger, the Lich King sat dormant for several years while his minions, through his will, reconstructed the destroyed Icecrown Citadel around the Frozen Throne. While he dreamed, Arthas consumed Ner'zhul and banished Matthias Lehner. After awaking, he removed his own heart, believing that anything that made him at all mortal made him weak, to become the new, single entity, Lich King.
Quoted from Wowwiki.
Yeah... no. It's Arthas.
Wait... read that again.

to become the new, single entity, Lich King.
Also from wowwiki:
After peering into the Lich King's heart, Tirion Fordring remarks that "there's nothing left to redeem" and "there is no Arthas Menethil anymore - there is only the Lich King."
"Now," Ner'zhul's voice echoed within his mind, "we are one!"
In that moment, Ner'zhul and Arthas' spirits fused into a single mighty being, just as the Lich King had always planned.
Now Arthas and Ner'zhul's spirit are one and together they are the Lich King.
Huh.

Yeah, you are.
Like i said before, Normal Mode is for Casuals and Hard Mode is for Elitist/Hardcore.
Everyone from the guy who plays 15+ hours a day to the guy who plays a total of 5 hours a week should be able to experience end game content.
We all pay $15 bucks a month for the same game, get that through your head.
You can experience all of it except him for all I care you had time to get to 80
Blizzard is letting you go to T9 easily thats much much more than they did in BC and you still want more next thing we know
this'll actually happen
It's kind of like saying people who cant devote a bit more time shouldn't have an advantage. Raiding takes time and as I already said
The Lich King has been around since before WoW in warcraft 3 maybe his good 8 yearsish. He should not be a loot pintata. HE should atleast be as hard as yogg saron with 2-3 watchers in 10 man. on his normal mode. I'm not saying make him Algalon hard make him as hard as Arthas
deserves
to be.
It is the climax of this expansion I'm not asking for him to be original WoW hard that'd be ridiculous. I'm just asking for him to be hard enough so any random pug that takes 20 minutes to make can't kill him.
I just want him to be hard enough that it needs all pugs to be geared and know what their doing and not make it sometihng you can easily carry someone through the first month or so of him being out.
So you pay $15 so do I and so how that even relevant and how is me asking for him to be a tad harder a bad thing because you can't kill him? not EVERYONE is suppose to kill Arthas not everyone is suppose to kill Algalon or yogg. Thats okay thats how it's suppose to be
Sorry but blizzard does not share you're opinion on this matter.

yes, it's stupid for THE UBER AWSUM PWNAGE badass to be killed >200times a day.
"dude shuttap and do the hardmode and shuttap."
so i'm choosing if he needs to be strong or not if i fight him? /facepalm

What a wicked post. It looks like
decrepitbeef
spent some time drafting it up. I applaud you for your efforts, sir.
Seems like the thread got derailed, unfortunately.
I'm not saying "OMG ALL RAIDS NEED 2 B UBER HARD NAO!", I'm saying the Lich King deserves to be hard. So did Malygos. So did Yogg (he was). So does Anub'arak (he is). I should have explained this better, I suppose.
Yogg-Saron and Algalon were the final bosses of Ulduar. Anub'arak is the final boss of ToC. Malygos and Sarth are the only bosses of their raids. Kel'thuzad is the final boss of Naxx. Only half of those are in any way difficult to kill if your raid isn't running around in greens and banging off walls while a non-defense capped tank is Leeroying all three of the Guardians of Icecrown at once. Yoggy, Algalon and Anub are those three. Every single other boss apart from those three in this entire expansion has been a complete joke. No challenge whatsoever, and though my guild has never attempted Alagalon, we stomped Yogg in no time at all compared to the weeks spent on nearly every TBC boss. We've gotten close on Anub, and he should be going down any time now.
The Lich King will be the final boss of this expansion, and also of ICC. What I'm saying is, since he will be the last thing we have until Cata, he should be so hard to kill that it's on the level of being nearly un-doable. Sooner or later though, he WILL be nerfed, so everyone who didn't manage to kill him will be able to. It's hard to explain how I feel. I want him to be
incredibly
hard to kill, but not forever, so the guilds that haven't killed him yet will still be able to, and everyone will be able to fight the Lich King as he was meant to be fought - an unstoppable killing machine.
Even if my guild is one of the ones that cant kill him, it would be worth it. Because that would be the only fight in the entire expansion that would have given us that kind of challenge.
Oh, and Arikan, the Lich King still has Ner'zhul's memories and knowledge, but Ner'zhul isnt there anymore. It's ONLY Arthas in there, not both of them.

None of this means anything, or indeed makes much sense. You mix hard mode and non-hard mode argument into one big soup, and as a result your message is entirely muddled.
<Additional paragraphs that I'm not gonna quote for the sake of minimizing spam>
I read your entire counterargument, and I thought it pretty much summed up what Wrath raiding is like. I'm glad that at least one other person believes this game isn't actually as easymode as people think it is.
Sure, it looks easymode, but only because the majority (of non-hardcore players) only see the easier aspects of the game, like Sarth with no drakes,
The point is, you win an internet.
