How about we get a boss like that boss in FFXI?
I hear there was a raid boss in FFXI that took a guild over 18 hours of fighting, some 20-some-odd phases before they gave up.
That'd be epic... because there's enough guilds and peeps out there that have no life and would stay in a single fight for days if the loot was good enough.
...
Hold that though, gonna request off work for a few weeks... *snickers evilly*

That'd be Pandemonium Warden. Forget him, they nerfed him because of the 18 hour fight and he's beatable now.
Now,
Absolute Virtue
... I haven't played FFXI in a long time, but I think there's still no way to kill him without exploiting some bug or another, and if you do that, banhammer for you!
Oh, and if someone does find a way to beat him, they do an emergency patch so he can't be killed that way anymore.
Could've sworn they nerfed AV also.

Obviously this boss is already in game
It's Hogger. It's Saurfang in disguise. You do not defeat him, you merely experience an illusion while he beats you to a pulp.

If
Gorehowl
,
Ashkandi
and
The Bladefist
-- relics of classic Warcraft heroes -- weren't fit to be "Artifact" weapons (let alone "Legendary"), I don't see how the Doomhammer or even Frostmourne (following the destruction of its master, Nerzhul / Lich King) couldn't be brought down to "Epic" levels.
I'm not against putting an Artifact-level item in the hands of a player. But it would never get there from an
unkillable
boss anyway, so that's a topic for another thread.
However, I
do
like the idea of a timed boss battle that will always end in a wipe, depending on how long your raid can withstand it. Scaling and becoming more difficult every 30 seconds (with loot scaling as well), I could see something like that being popular among guilds.

If only I were a Mod, you'd stop making threads as quick as Cronulla lose a game
Haha! /highfive
Judging from the average intellectual basis for your arguements, your hideous logic and the fact that you're named after a tumultuous sporting body
who just love to take turns
, you come off as the average Australian meathead bogan. This is why people don't like you; especially us Australians.
Grats.

C'thun for the first few months after his release.
permanantly immortal boss, every stat is unlimited.
Why would people attempt it?
Because they're addicted to this game ? Egotistical people will never admit defeat to an NPC, they are driven to be " the best ".
Anyone who doesn't work out the boss is impossible deserves a beating.
Stop making stupid threads and stop making illogical arguments when people use logic against you.
People are so addicted to WoW that they wouldnt care if it was impossible to kill, the pure thought of having an artifact is more than enough to make people run to it
i don't have a response to these people, i just wanted to nest more quotes. wheeee
but seriously, in EQ there was a boss that was unkillable. a group of raids tried to kill it for several days straight, until the GMs accepted that it couldn't be done and nerfed it.
