It's true I have no love for Obama, but seriously? This is beyond absurd.

It's kind of like Al Gore I suppose. It's all just politics and jumping on the bandwagon.

One could make a case for Al Gore, because he actually did stuff.
Obama has done next to nothing to qualify him for this prize.

Yeah I agree. Obama is heading in the right direction, but he's only HEADING there, he hasn't made significant strides yet.

Dr Bates Gill argues why it is the right decision.
Methinks a certain billionaire has bought the prize for him.
I doubt we will be seeing Obama using a Mac anytime soon.

Has it been a good year for peace promoters? I don't remember huge humanitarian struggles and I wouldnt want it to go to Bono...
or Oprah... or $%^& Cheney...
There have been multiple years where there has been no Nobel Peace Prize given out. "
He was the best there was this year.
" is not a valid reason.
Then again, I believe they gave one to Arafat so maybe it's not so bad.
Don't forget Kissinger =/

What do the Swedes get out of this again?
As a matter of fact it's the Norwegians who decides it (Alfred Nobel's will stated that the prize should be awarded by a committee of five people elected by the Norwegian Parliament).
Get your facts correct.

Except he didn't. Al Gore just made a slide show based on a portion of a graph that puts it out of context and then add some info made to fit that portion of a larger graph. He didn't do anything for it, either.

Nelson Mandela and Yasser Arafat have been awarded the nobel peace prize. In my opinion, the award is worthless. If they offered me the award, I would ask that they stop wasting my time.
