Well, Bolvar is confirmed as the new King.... and you don't see Darion in the video....

Urm, Adam... you made the death bets, but its proven otherwise.
After the cinematic of the fate of the lich king, we know its not Tirion, Bolvar becomes the new lich king, and the odds of Varian or Saurfang dying are practically nill since they both have things to do in cataclysm (varian leading alliance, saurfang burying his son). Probably same with muradin.
I think blizzard has just retconned your death bet thread.

But yeah, never expected Varian or Saurfang to die, and yeah, Tirion is alive, Bolvar is sitting in the frozen chair, Maurdin doesn't go any farther then the airship battle field...... could still possibly be Darion though.

Well, was it just me that found the cinematic to be slightly lackluster?
I mean, yes, it was very pretty, but it had nothing that we didn't expect, and it left a lot of loose ends.
I mean, am I the only one that expected the Sylvanas storyline to be concluded?
Or the Darion one? Or Saurfang, Muradin, Varian, Thassarian, or Trag Highmountain ones?

Not in the least Skree; that was a major cop out for the end of one of Warcraft's big bads......well, semi-big bad.

But man, those human models were pretty!
Sylvanas is probably just raping Arthas' corpse with a rusty pipe right out of view of the camera, anyway.

I thought the same thing. Its like they made all these characters wanting to kill Arthas and end this.. but in the final cinematic its only 3 of them.
so we're never seen sylvanas get her revenge, never see jaina say something about loving arthas, never see muradin saying goodbye to his old friend, never see Saurfang getting revenge for what he did to his son, and not even see Trag highmountain getting his revenge like he said he would in the comics.

Oh well... I knew this would happen. There's just too many people emotionally invested in Arthas' demise to feature them all. Blizzard really stepped on their own feet on this one.
In other news, since Horde players will get the buff
Hellscream's Warsong
soon, do you think we'll actually get to hear Garrosh sing his little song?

Saurfang dying to save both the Horde and the Alliance, and Wrynn being touched by this act sounds like something cool. Also, I don't think Tirion will be dying anytime soon - he just feels like a character that is destined to be around and give you quests until
you
die. Muradin is a likely choice, I think, since he has this "borrowed life" motif around him. Darion may fly too, although killing the last of the Mograine's is probably a bad idea.
SPOILERS
Tirion is also in the movie scene for after you kill Arthas.
I would think it's either Saurfang or Mograine, because they're the only ones that make sense. Killing off Muradin would not affect anything ever, except maybe Funden. Personally, let it be Saurfang. Then everyone will STHU about him. Also, the Mograine's are some of my favorite characters.

orry, I answered the OP question, I don't think I have to go through five pages to do that.

You didn't so much do that as said you want to see <name> die. Thats as pointless as me saying the same thing about Varian. Theres a difference between most likely, and most wanting
Its already been made clear what happens when you defeat the lich king.

It's Darion.
Varian is given a role to show he's not just a jackass.
Muradin / Saurfang have things to do after the Deathbringer Saurfang battle (Hold Deathbringer's Rise as a means to have a foot in the Citadel that's further than the Ashen Verdict's foothold).
Tirion is alive per cutscene.
Bolvar is "alive" per cutscene.
Who's left?
Highlord Darion Mograine. He dies. Again. "Our kind has no place in this world" will be realized.
This. Darion's distinct absence in the cutscene is basically painting big red target onto his forehead.

Good to see the Lich King fight audio out now. Turns out Darion, Muradin, Jaina and Sylvanas got more closure than I thought.
Saurfang is probably all like. "Okay, Lich King is dead - check. Now to burn my boy. TO NAGRAND!"
