How did he get his Orcs to put the makeup on? And I want to write that idea you have just said can I?
Mine? I guess... But I'm thinking of making a RP about it.

So, this whole thing I've been writing on the sociopolitical hierarchies of the Horde got me thinking about the Kor'kron and how they would be inducted as Kor'kron. I was actually thinking of making this about Nakresh, but I didn't want to bogart Skreeran's character without his permission.
The Oath of the Kor'Kron
A warrior strode through the great central arch leading into the throne room of Grommash Hold. Before him stood three figures, all of which he recognized. On the left was the great leader of the order into which he was to be inducted. His axe was draped across his back, and his long gray hair hung over his shoulders like the mane of the lions he had seen near his home. On the right was an old orc, his eyes covered by a blindfold. But the warrior knew that this elder could see, for the spirits had granted him their sight long ago.
And standing between them, with his great hammer in his hand and his dark armor covering his body, was the Warchief. It was for this orc that the Warrior had fought, it was for him that he was able to realize the call of the Horde. It would be for him when he passes on to the ancestors.
The orc on the left came forward, stood next to the young warrior, and spoke. "Warchief, Hulgar has proven himself to be worthy of the title of Kor'kron. He has passed the trials, and proven himself in combat. He needs only speak the Oath."
The Warchief nodded, and the orc standing next to Hulgar bade the young warrior to kneel. The young one complied. Next he could hear the voice of the elder on the right. "Speak now, Hulgar, and let all hear your vow."
Hulgar held out his hands and the Warchief placed his great hammer into them. Gripping the weapon tightly, the warrior spoke:
"I shall never tremble in the face of peril, nor falter from my duty.
I shall let my blade sing across the land and skies and waters.
I shall never yield to my enemies, nor allow bloodlust to consume me.
I shall revere the spirits, the ancestors, and all those who came before.
I shall never allow any to bring the Horde into darkness.
The Horde is my call, and the Warchief my charge."
The words poured from his heart and soul, with a passion seen only in this very ceremony. Hulgar offered the hammer back to the Warchief, and he took it. With a sigh, the Warchief spoke:
"Arise now, Hulgar, Son of the Horde, and may you never kneel again."
The Warchief raised his hammer into the air, and let forth a cry that shook the halls. It was a cry that all could hear, a cry that filled them with hope and honor, pride and passion, and all joined in on the chorus:
"Lok'tar Ogar!"

Is "The Warchief" Garrosh or Thrall, you don't specify.
You can make your own conclusions about that. The story isn't supposed to hinge on who the Warchief is, but the oath to protect and serve him.

It's my take on the oath that the Kor'kron take upon joining. The one you're referring to is the one that anyone wishing to just become a member of the Horde takes.

Skreeran
I liked it, and you're right, that would have fitted Nakresh very well... :)

I'm glad you liked it. It took me awhile to get the oath sounding right. I was thinking of actually making a series out of that, going through the trials and the combat that he had to face before the oath. It would be short, but I think it might help get the mental juices flowing for my other ideas.
Would you mind if I re-wrote it to reflect on Nakresh?

I don't mind, but you don't have to if you don't want to, obviously... :P

Heh, it's actually a t-shirt design I made awhile back.
I got inspired by the Che Guevara design.
I thought a revolutionary of Obi-Wan's standing deserved one in a similar style.
Here's the t-shirt
if you want to take a look.
I really need to re-install Photoshop and start making more designs... or at least refining the old ones.

This War Ain't Cold No More
“Alright, my brothers and sisters of the Alliance... I have called you hear to discuss a topic most dire...” Varian Wrynn nodded, looking around the table. “Weapons of Mass Destruction...”
“Mass Destruction?” Gelbin Mekkatorqe laughed. “You cannot destroy mass, also known as matter. You cannot destroy energy either, for that matter.”
“No, Gelbin,” Magni explained. “He means destroyin' stuff on a massive scale.”
“Indeed,” Varian nodded again. “We know that the goblins are looking into these strange 'nuclear weapons,' and I propose that we commission the gnomes to begin research as well. We must win this arms race.”
“Oh,” Gelbin chuckled. “Nukes? Is that all? Yeah, we finished work on that like a long time ago.”
“Really?” Varian asked hopefully. “Well where are they?”
“They were all destroyed during testing,” Gelbin answered.
“Well...” nodded Tyrande, “can't you make more?”
“Well, that's the thing...” Gelbin paused. “We tested them on Gnomeregan. We'll tell you when we can go back to get the plans...” he nodded, smiling stupidly.
Varian brought his palm to his face.
“So... You're telling me that we're back at square one?” he asked.
“I propose...” Magni began, before looking around at the worried faces. “Now hear me out... I propose we get a lot of gunpowder...”
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile...
Garrosh stood on his ship, out to sea to the west of Stormwind.
“Alright...” he nodded. “Is the Blight ready?”
“It is indeed, Warchief,” Master Apothecary Faranell nodded, patting a barrel of the noxious substance.
“Excellent, and the bomb?” Garrosh asked.
“Ready to go!” a small goblin nodded with a toothy grin.
“Excellent. Proceed to turn Elwynn into an expansion of the Burning Steppes...” Garrosh smiled. “And seal those Ironforge dwarves in with the blight.”
Soon, a massive mushroom cloud appeared over Stormwind while planes flew towards Dun Morogh. Garrosh put on a pair of sunglasses and admired the explosion.
“Well, the war's over...” he shrugged. “We made great time, too.”
Note: This is not just a "lol the Hrode pwns teh Allies" post.
Specifically, I was thinking about the goblins the other day and thought it was funny that, while the Worgen were bigger and tougher than goblins, goblins are probably working on nukes.
Then I thought, "Hey, that would mean that the Horde had
two
Weapons of Mass Destruction..."
Logically, my line of thinking was "Well then, the Alliance is pretty %^&*ed."
This isn't about the Horde "pwning" the Alliance. It's just a funny little scenario that I came up with in my head. Obviously, I would not
actually
want the Horde to nuke the Alliance. Have a sense of humour already. :P

Finally got around to reformatting. I'm thinking about doing challenges with this thread. Would anybody be interested in doing something like that?

Well, basically, I would post a comment detailing what I want you to write about, and you write it. It's more of a writing exercise than anything else. Each challenge could last for a week, so everyone could try it out. And... yeah, that's about it, heh.
There would be no prizes, as we couldn't really determine a winner without a poll. And I don't know what we could do as a prize anyway.

HiVolt
Hrm.....I have an idea about prizes....a little stupid......but if someone had an 80 DK on all the servers where we played and had 1kg on each DK and then gave the 1k to the winner of the story thing, as come on 1k is not too hard to make...stupid idea I know.
That works... in theory. But in practice it's just a
little
tougher, lol. Officially: Not it, for this idea.
