Deadly Boss Mods or BigWigs are very useful for raiding.
Omen Threat Meter is popular, but no longer 100% necessary.
Something that will allow you to track your cooldowns easily (Quartz, OmniCC, or any of a dozen others).
After that, everything is 100% optional.

Visual heals is useful so you can see incoming heals before they hit you, gives you a heads up for when you need to blow cds.

I would suggest getting an addon such as Quickmark. All it does is give you a little bar with all of the raid icons on it to make marking mobs on the fly a lot easier.
The trick I learned is bind auto-run to something other than numlock and then bind everything on the keypad to various markings. That makes it really easy to mark quickly.
I'd actually recommend healbot. You can see incoming heals, who has aggro, and you can very easily Righteous Defense, Lay on Hands, or Sacred Shield anyone in the raid. It's hardly mandatory, and I only had healbot because my main spec is holy and I'm too lazy to change addons when I change specs, but I did find healbot very useful while tanking.
