That the ata'mal would be used to add some legendary worthy elements to our rings?
Or that the ata'mal plays a part this expac? I would like to lose a race to the heart of fury with Grom so that he at least has something raid-worthy beyond the probably demon blood drinking.

Grom................demon blood drinking.
Dude, I'd almost bet my entire wow account, that Grom will NEVER drink demon blood.
EVER.
Think about it, the Grom of this timeline, was apathetic, almost suicidal, not having something to live for. Then garrosh showed him a vision of what would happen if the orcs drank the blood. An incomplete vision. Only the bits where the orcs become slaves, then defeated, imprisoned, broken, and unwilling to lift a finger to free themselves, or fight back at their captors.
As far as he knows, that's
all
the demon blood will bring. The only one would could tell him otherwise is Gul'dan, who he utterly mistrusts and would kill if he had the chance. And he flat out says that death is preferable to the fate he saw from the blood drinking. He would sooner kill himself, and every single orc on draenor, than allow the clans to drink from the blood.

I did mention the heard of fury as a substitute.
And by drinking demon blood is more of a "You can't change the past" trope. As in you time travel to save someones life and all you did in the end was change how said person died.
Or that when things go extremely south extremely drastic solutions are born. (Like Nazi and communism IRL)

Meh, as pointed out on my thread where I compared Prime!Draenor to Alternate!Draenor,
this
version of the past is already changed significantly.

Maybe Gruul will find and drink the demon blood instead.

Did any one else find it disappointing that the gong that controlled the Breakers was destroyed? I was looking forward to calling upon them in the final raid or whatever. I wonder if there's a Botani equivalent?

There was. And its equally destroyed.
Both halves of Gorgrond are mirror quests for each other.
The main difference is that with the breaker artifact, you work with Rexxar and Bony Xuk, whereas with the Botani Artifact, you work with Kaz and Draka.

So I guess WoW Insider and the whole Joystiq network just bit it. That sucks.

Yeah...but they are back as
Blizzard Watch

Will they retroactively add back all their former articles? or just start over from scratch?

Started over; all of the old stuff officially belongs to AOL. However, they are returning the class columns so yay to that.

I believe that they are bringing back "The Queue" and "Know Your Lore" and others. I also believe that they have brought some of the class columnists back, but the columns may be posted under another heading.
I did read a role-playing article on the new site recently that appeared to me to be a re-post of a column on the old site, but I could be wrong about that.

They won't be copy/pasting stuff from the old site. But if the need comes, there's nothing stopping them from creating a fresh new article about the exact same thing that was once written there.

If all the old stuff officially belongs to AoL, then them copy&pasting articles from the old site could be interpreted as plagiarism. And that's not good for them, me thinks.
