Regardless, even if Azeroth managed to stand against the Legion and somehow defeat it, and if they managed to defeat Ragnaros and C'Thun, it would still fall to either Yogg-Saron (Where the Alliance either are defeated by the Old God or fail to prevent Algalon's transmission) or during the Hour of Twilight (Either being destroyed by Ragnaros or Deathwing.)

You know...there's nothing to say that it would; Yogg was sealed back up by a group of adventures after all, and Algalon was stopped by them as well. When you are in Ulduar it's Brann and the Kirin Tor who are backing you up.
Hour of Twilight....well, it's not like the Alliance wouldn't have shamans too; The Wildhammers after all. They may not be the Green Jesus, but surely one of them could have stepped up as well.

Would the HoT even happen with no Horde? Without the Dragonmaw Clan's help during the Second War, Deathwing would not have wound up hiding out in Deepholme to cause the Cataclysm if he hadn't been on the run from the red dragonflight for enslaving Alexstraza. There'd be no Twilight's Hammer without the Clan and Cho'gall coming through the portal. Ragnaros would not have been stirred into action again without the Dark Iron dwarves waging a losing war against an alliance of Blackrock orcs and black dragons.

Now that's what I'm talking about! How all those events could even happen if Cho'gall NEVER stepped in Azeroth? I guess Deathwing could still be lead to madness by old gods... but it'd go on a very different path.

Cho'gall isn't the only way for there to be a cult of nihilist hellbent on ending the world.
As we clearly saw in cataclysm, plenty of humans and people from just about every race had members on them that were just as insane, and Benedictus was a member of twilight for light knows how long.
If Cho'gall hadn't been there, the old gods would had found another pawn to serve as their mouthpiece, its not like without cho'gall the twilight hammer can't exist. We killed him, and the cult survived just fine.
If Cho'gall hadn't arrived, the cult would have a different name, and a different leader, but would still exist nonetheless.
If the dragonmaw clan wasn't around to be the proxy tool of deathwing, he would had used someone else to manipulate the dragon soul for him. Its not like Nekros developed anything, he was pointed to the dragon soul by deathwing and given the knowledge to use it, he was a pawn, and if he's not around, someone else would had been a pawn. Maybe a branch off the wildhammer? there are several clans, and not all of them are nice and friendly.

In other news....Looks quite interesting.
Very. Specially this quote:
“We often get questions from players who want to know more about the origins of the Warcraft universe, and the rise and fall of their favorite characters” said Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. “This new series digs deeply into all of that—we can’t wait for players to read it.”

Garona is the Legendary Follower.
Did not see that coming.....
Neither did I, but in retrospective, she makes a lot of sense.
She's both orc AND draenei, making her fit with either faction.
However I said on the comments section, I'm holding my judgement until I actually see people on the PTR actively recruiting that person as the legendary follower. After all, they could be nothing more than Red Herring.
Remember Hogs? added as a diversion for dataminers to misled people from the real rewards of the 10 year anniversary. They even put a fake Feat of Strength to give it an air of authenticity.
So I'm taking those news with a generous dose of salt until I see some solid evidence that the legendary follower is indeed that person.
In the case that it is, I'm hoping they at least provide a unique model, because the generic one it has at the moment, will simply not do.

So far, I'm feeling that
Harrison Jones
looks more legendary than Garona (I know he won't be, it's only my opinion). Too bad that the Horde can have him too, and not his
Reliquary counterpart
. =/
Brace yourself for retcons.
I wonder what we'll get from that. Hopefully it's stuff that was never touched before, then they'll have more room to come up with some different things.

I'd rather have his
daughter
that isn't a referance to a villian in a movie where the alliance counterpart is the protagonist.
And to me Garona isn't that legendary, infamus for killing a king maybe, but not legendary.

I'm sorry to interrupt, but there's something I'm confused about. I finally dragged myself through the alliance campaign at shadowmoon, and there was something in Velen's last speech that doesn't make sense to me, and maybe it's because I never finished the Nagrand questline.
According to alternate-Velen, in the WoD-alternate-timeline, the naaru who fell ill during the journey from Argus to Draenor was K'ara. She was then ejected from the vessel and appeared "like a star in the sky," or something to that effect.
According to lore, in our timeline, the naaru who fell ill during the journey from Argus to Draenor was K'ure. His illness was the reason for landing Oshu'gun on the planet later named Draenor in the first place. The energies he generated due to being ill attracted ancestral orc spirits to Oshu'gun in Nagrand.
In both the Frostwall and Shadowmoon versions of the quest with Gul'dan, Gul'dan talks about "harvesting the energy from the Naaru within Oshu'gun."
If you go to WoD's alternate Nagrand, you still see ancestral orc spirits being attracted to Oshu'gun, which would suggest there's a sick Naaru in there. But it's very rare for a Naaru to become sick in the first place, and it's unlikely that in WoD's alternate timeline, both K'ara and another Naaru (possibly K'ure again since he was mentioned alongside K'ara on the Shadowmoon buff stone) both became ill. Also, you'd think if a second Naaru had become ill, Velen would have talked about that in his "it's sad when the Naaru become ill" speech.
But say there wasn't a second sick Naaru and it was only K'ara, who was ejected from the vessel prior to the landing on Draenor. That is: the alternate timeline doesn't have a sick Naaru inside Oshu'gun. So why did Oshu'gun land on Draenor in the first place in WoD's alternate timeline? And why are there orc ancestral spirits attracted to Oshu'gun in this alternate timeline?

There was a second Naaru though;
D'ore
who seems to be our version of K'ara.

So....... the alliance architect guy Barov dies during the garrison campaign.
o_O
I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that gazlowe didn't had the same fate on the horde version, but still, it sucks that Barov dies. I probably should had seen it coming because he had an assistant who later becomes his replacement when he dies. Him having one and Gazlowe not having one should had been a big tip that something was gonna happen.
The sad part for me is that this pretty much cements Azuka's status as a villain, and I can't see her pulling a "heel-face turn" anymore after this. There's no way either side would accept her and her clan when this is over. Too bad.

Maybe she's the "trade-off" for the spoiler part happening?

That is a bit unfortunate as I had hoped we'd get her as well. On the other hand, I'm somewhat glad that the Garrison campaign has managed to get its own villain for its storyline rather than merely be the motley assortment of unrelated quests we've had so far. Kudos to Blizz on that, but I've been favourably impressed on all aspects of the garrisons (with some exceptions with the Horde). They've really done well diversifying the content in this one, unlike the last few which tried but ended up always really being about the same thing.

A character from vanilla that we've barely spoken to for just a couple of quests and had absolutely zero relevance to the plot from there on, vs a new action female character holding her own against all her male peers.
Doesn't seem like a fair trade to me.

Well... One of them is
still
alive...
I got
this
today... What if... we end up finding the ultimate subject of this "Cowled Ranger" search?
I'd be stunned.
