SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I'm seriously tempted to give my main a break, and play WoD on my orc shaman. Not only it seems more fitting, Enhance shamans have become unbelievably fun to use.

Yuthara eh? Sounds bit japanese, like the blademasters/burning blade.

He exploded when he died and burned the land and tained the world tree.
I bet it's similar death explosion to Mannoroth than the whisps to took all his (morning)wood.
He exploded because a metric crap ton of Wisps latched onto his body and blew themselves to kingdom come. Malfurion out right tells you that is why he needed the horn to summon them and why the Horde and Grand Alliance forces had to hold him back so that he could get time to get them all gathered into one spot.
Detonate
the final spells that Wisps have.

I'd have a heart attack if he offers us a quest to find his girlfriend =P
Nagrand is gonna be the new barrens xD

Very intentional. Burning Blade are among my favorite clans.

Okay, so would an alternate Garrosh be born at this point? Or is it too early?
Post by

Since Garrosh was a teen in Beyond the Dark Portal book that is a big ten four yes.

There is no 'th' in Japanese! *shakes fist*
Some bastard took the name Yutara without the H. I tried Ritsuo but it was taken too. I just compromised and put an H there.
But ermagersh tiny Mankrik that's adorable. So adorable.
I know right!!!! I utterly refused to see what his quest was about, I was just goofing around on the lvl 100 server because my character got stuck and needed to wait 10 min for my hearthstone CD to get out of there. And while goofing around nagrand, by pure dumb luck I stumbled upon him, and he offers a quest but I didn't wanted to see it yet.
When I get there "for real" and do that quest, if he sends us to find his girlfriend, I'm gonna have a huge nerdgasm :P (Hopefully she wont be dead though U_U)
Also, those character models do look pretty awesome
You're telling me, I absolutely
LOVE
the new female orc model. Its yet another reason I'm tempted to make my shaman my new main. As much as I love the model of my blood elf DK, female orcs look amazing.
Dat smexy back...... O_O
/drool.
(for some reason I just know skree is gonna love that screenshot xD)
(seeing some actual non-staged screenshots of them is nice.)
If you wanna see more just lemme know, what race/model are you interested in?
Can't wait to see how all that low quality textured gear looks on them.
I dunno, a lot of the new gear seems very high-res to me. But yes, if you transmog vanilla sets on, its gonna look very glaring.

Admittedly the nelf ones, though they haven't come out with the male nelf yet so I must wait to bear witness to his incredible abs.
... hopefully he still has incredible abs.
i will cry if he doesn't
hahaha :P well when they add his model on the beta, I'll be sure to show you. And I wouldn't worry about the abs.
Warcraft
Blizzard artists are incapable of drawing men as anything other than Über-buff hulking mountains of muscle, even mages who stereotypically are skinny old men in most fantasy settings.
Look at Khadgar, one of the last traditional-looking mages in the game, now looks like a slightly older Varian in WoD. Very buff, tall, muscular, and not a wrinkle in his body. And yet the devs say he didn't de-age himself, he's supposed to still be the same as before.
According to them
this
=
this.
Hmm........*looking closer*..............nope, still calling BS on that.

Eh hard to program wrinkles. And while his body was old, he didn't really notice it, as seen in Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal...hell, look at Uther; old man but built like a mack truck. It's Azeroth where being a puny mageling is a bad idea if you run out mana.

Meh, Thrall's first hobo-model had lots of wrinkles. Terenas also has them, and there's several vanilla models that look fairly old. They didn't gave him wrinkles because they didn't wanted to.
And while his body was old, he didn't really notice it, as seen in Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal...
Maybe he never felt old, but his body wasn't built like a cabana boy. On every single one of his appereances in the comics he was a slender figure, as was his TBC model. For him to suddenly be ripped makes no sense.
hell, look at Uther; old man but built like a mack truck. It's Azeroth where being a puny mageling is a bad idea if you run out mana.
Not the same, Uther was a physical fighter all his life, Khadgar is a spellcaster, people who don't really put much emphasis in working out. Look at Antonidas, now there was a mage that looked like a mage. Mages will always be at a disadvantage in physical confrontations, its why they're always at the back of the lines, and on a few of the times Khadgar shows up in WoD, he emphasizes, that he needs to be protected while he casts X or Y spell.
I dunno why they felt the need to give him such a bulky body when he's always been depicted up to this point as a frail old man with the energy of someone who's still in his prime years. It wasn't needed, and IMO just makes him look weird. Even Graymane looks older than him now.

Clearly being near a Naaru for four expansions is both a rejuvenating and healthy alternative to the aging process. Combined with a rigorous work out regime, regular shaving and a good diet, even you can go from
this
to
this

Well well well, straight from the horse's mouth.
Some orcs have stood by Garrosh's side. You've seen and fought them in Siege of Orgrimmar; however,
a majority of the orcs stood with the Horde and against Garrosh's vision of a "pure" Horde
, one that is made entirely of, or at least entirely led by, orcs and orcs alone.
We have confirmation.
For those wondering if the orcs were "exterminated" in SoO, it seems that only a minority of them sided with Garrosh and his "true horde".
Its so nice when they stop being ambiguous and actually give a straight answer once in a while =D

Yeah, but it does make the whole SoO thing a bit stupid when they put it like that. A strictly numbers game means Garrosh was actually pretty badly off with the whole 'orcs conquer the world' bit. Makes him look more like the Dark Horde which was explicitly described as basically a suicide mission.

Well, Garrosh had gone full Caligula at that point, I'm still of the opinion that the hearth of the old god messed with his head (Just listen to how he rambles during his raid fight, no sane person speaks like that, and how he rants during the trial in war crimes) and filled him with delusions of grandeur.
I don't wanna do it, since godwins law is commonly considered against the
Forum Gentlemen Code®
but Adolf Hitler was pretty much the same. During the war, he honestly, truly, seriously believed his army would defeat the rest of the world. Despite massive numerical disadvantage, he still had the mindset that his "race" was inherently superior to the others and each of his troops was worth more than a dozen enemy ones.
Down to the bitter end, he believed his own delusions until the inevitability of defeat was impossible to conceal even from himself. Leading to probably one of the most quoted videos on youtube =P
Garrosh is much the same, what started as simple race pride, evolved into disdain for non-orcs, and then evolved into full blown delusions of superiority from his kin. Because of this, despite alienating the majority of his allies and his own forces, and his own people, he still pushed forward and eagerly provoked the rest of the world to attack him.
I will admit that the game did a pretty poor job at portraying this, because we see plenty of the orcs that supported garrosh (in Siege of Orgrimmar, and in the barrens event) but we never saw that many of the orcs that refused to support him. In SoO all the friendly NPCs we see from the horde are the blood elves during Galakras, Trolls and Taurens during Iron Juggernaught, and a mixture of Trolls, Taurens, and a few orcs after malkorok.
The non-garrosh orcs were also strangely absent in the 5.3 event (Aside from a few captive orc civilians we rescue, who were being indoctrinated by the kor'kron)
So basing ourselves exclusively on what the game portrayed, its easy to think that most orcs sided with garrosh and only a minor fraction didn't. When in reality it was the opposite.

Yeah, but at least the Nazi's had allies in Italy (pathetic though it may be), Japan and various other small parties. The orcs literally had Orgrimmar and though impressive, it wasn't really that major in the grander scheme of things.

The orcs had allies in the Blackfuse Company, and the Klaxxi, and various other small things like captured mogu, captured monsters, and an old god corpse to empower their stuff.

Wasn't the captured stuff fighting the heroes and the orcs alike? That godzila didn't like the orcs IIRC.
Though if it's still minority of orcs I'm calling BS on the vision with Stormwind and the dead racial leaders.
But I suppose Metzhen and the lore team needs orcs for their wc1-2 nostaliga writing. With reduced orcs we can see other races and Blizzard doesn't want that. Orc vs Human 4ever.
