So I'm thinking about buying another WoW novel atm, and since I read something somewhere. Really can't remembere where that mentioned that one of the Tauren myths had recently been confirmed in a book. I was wondering if anyone here knew what book that was?
And also a question. Has the effects of the actions of the Hyjal druids on Firelands been discussed somewhere in game or book?
I'm thinking about the fact they are basically bringing in foreign fauna and more to this environment. I find this interesting because the druids are supposed to be about balance, but what their actually doing here is what Ragnaros basically did to Hyjal. And I can only imagine it would end at an Elemental Plane unbalanced with unknown effects to Azeroth.

Really all the new tree is doing is warding fire elementals away from that one spot, it's not spreading anymore than it already has. Now that Ragnaros' is dead, the druids might have taken it away.

Nay. They claimed it to be a permanent outpost.

Well, after some internal debate, I decided to post this here, as far as I can tell its legit, this is not made up crap, its been verified by a lot of people, and its happening.
Spoilers for the alliance starting zone in Shadowmoon Valley. Needless to say these are very sensitive, approach only if you don't mind spoilers, YE HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!!
Here's the original link:
http://www.mamytwink.com/actualite/press-tour-resume-de-5-heures-de-jeu-sur-warlords
(Its in french)
And the english translation goes like this:
Unlike what I initially thought, its Ner'zhul who's the main antagonist of that zone, not Gul'dan. Darn it.
The ending of that zone however is a little controversial because....... Ner'zhul uses an evil force, the Void Terror. At the end of the zone, you fight Ner'zhul and he manages to corrupt a Naaru into a "Dark Naaru". To purify the Naaru, Velen sacrifices himself and dies. This is a pretty huge plot twist and his death will be part of a cinematic at the end of the quest. It is followed by a giant battle. You join Maraad (freed from Ner'zhul earlier) to fight the Iron Horde.
Now, I'm only conjecturing that the velen that dies is the one from Alternate!Draenor, because the Velen from our timeline isn't going to travel there. But even then, this doesn't make much sense to me.
Naaru are made of light AND dark, its part of their life cycle, they live as beings of light, then die and become entities of darkness, then die again and become light once more. To emphatize that neither light nor dark are good or evil. So why exactly did Alternate!Velen had to sacrifice himself to purify the dark naaru? Regular!Velen purified Mu'ru without doing so.
I really hope they revise this questline, because that ending is a pretty weird plot hole. Of course since this is pre-beta, its possible it will undergo several changes before going live, as was the case with the jade forest in MoP beta.
Asides from that, there's some really nice news: You will be able to toggle the new models on and off, so in the case you dislike your new face, and can't afford a character recustomization/neither of the new faces appeal to you, you can always leave the new models off and play wow in Nostalgia Mode :P
And now some spoileriffic videos. Again, watch at your own risk.

THRALL IS WEARING HIS BLACK PLATE AGAIN!
Ohh yeah, Hobo-thrall is FINALLY gone. May he never rise again from the blackest pits of hell.Do remember, though, that that is clearly a placeholder model. Blizzard is doing their best to get unique models for all the leaders (See: Sylvanas, Varian, Garrosh, Thrall, Vol'jin, Jaina, Tyrande, Malfurion, and so on). They're not going to switch from his unique Cataclysm model back to a regular orc wearing in-game armor.
So while this is a very good sign that his new unique model in WoD may be wearing his old armor, it's not a sure thing, just as with anything else in the Alpha state.

=( come on bro' lemme dream a little bit.
I've been wanting Hobo-Thrall to go away for a long LONG time, and it seems like now its finally happening. I want to believe they will give him his armor back.
Edit: A good argument in favor of him having his armor back is that in cataclysm Thrall also had a placeholder model, and this model had a robe too. If they're planing on updating his model and for that early build they're giving him a placeholder one, it would be one using a robe if he was gonna keep wearing a robe. Since he's using plate, I wanna believe its an indicator he's gonna be using plate again.

That'll put a Gronn among the Orcs if he does; Doomhammer will have the same thing on after all.
Also...I have a feeling that the Velen thing isn't gonna make it out of Apha.

Not necessarily, Doomhammer only began using the black plate when the Old Horde began. We know nothing about him but the Blackrock Orcs of the Iron Horde seem to use mechanized Power Armor. Besides, Thrall is already wearing the iconic hammer regardless.
Also...I have a feeling that the Velen thing isn't gonna make it out of Alpha
Who knows. I speculated its the Alternate!Velen rather than the one from our side.

Oh, and the new female orc models look boss by the way.

I don't think our Velen is going to die before he's had an awesome duel with Kil'jaeden. At least, I'll be very disappointed if he doesn't.

Of course it's meant to be Alternate but I still don't think it's gonna make it through to Beta/Live, but we'll just have to wait and see.

And yet he was without it during all of Rise of the Horde.
That armor is something he acquired during his days in the dark horde, and even then, the blackrock clan of the Iron Horde is most certainly not the same as the blackrock clan of the old horde. As shown in what little lore they've released, these Blackrock Orcs are engineers, and gadgeteers. Kinda like big muscular pissed off gnomes. Who's inventions actually work (zing)
They already showed a big deal of changes because Bladefist is an albino on this timeline (he wasn't on the regular one) so who's to say there's more changes in there that on other famous figures we're left to see? I for one would like to see if Teron Gorefiend has changed a lot, same for Saurfang, Eitrigg, Doomhammer, Garona and many other famous First/Second War veterans.

We'll just have to wait and see then. But I have a feeling we'll be seeing Doomhammer in the black armour as well.

Heh, Draenei get the famous Monk Trainer.

According to his concept art
no he wont.
The only thing iconic to him at this point is his hammer, he only donned the armor on the second war. Of course, I don't discount the possibility, given that Ner'zhul also had an iconic look that he only began using AFTER the second war. Namely his Skull make-up on his face.
He only started wearing that stuff post-second war, and yet his concept art for WoD
has him wearing it.
So the coin is in the air.

GOD-DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
>_<
Ok WoD already has started on the wrong foot for me.
Been checking out some developer interviews and they've already said two things that upset me greatly.
Number 1: Garrosh will be in the expansion but it's unlikely players will fight him again. WHY?!!?!?!?! Killing that motherf**** is what I've wanted to do for years, then SoO comes out and they deny us that, and now he's gonna be in WoD but we don't get to kill him? WHAT THE HELL!!?!?!?!?!?! I am gonna be extremely pissed off if he's made into a recurring character. I am SICK AND TIRED OF HIS ANTICS DAMMIT, I want him gone!!!!!.
Number 2: Gul'dan isn't the threat in Warlords of Draenor, Grommash and the Iron Horde are. Gul'dan might even be an
ally
against them.
This is NOT looking good. There goes the two primary targets I was hoping to kill in this expansion. One is gonna be unfought and........... SACRILEGE!!!!! the other is gonna be an ALLY!!??!?!?!

Personally, I think Garrosh is going to be killed by another character, (maybe Grom or Kairoz) Though I really would have liked to have killed him myself.
As for Gul'dan, if he allies with us, I guarantee that he will betray us for the Burning Legion before the expansion is over. Do you mind linking those posts for me Rank?
