that song is not only the reason I'm horde too, but also plays a large role for me to be a shaman also :P
this is also the reason I play orc as well.
warcraft has what has got to be the most unique incarnation of orcs.
unlike other Fantasy settings such as Dungeons&Dragons, or Lord of the Rings, or Migth & Magic, the orcs here are an honorable race.
they are not perfect, since after all on draenor they were decieved by Kil'jaeden, and their own greed and ambition became their undoing, but they guide themselves with honor.
even before the formation of the new horde several orcs where already honorable, such as eitrigg, or drek'tar.
as such orcs bound themselves to a strict code of conduct that they would never break.
for example, to respect the elder, never to fight with an unfair advantage (the best example I can quote is the duel of thrall vs garrosh on the comics, thrall restrained himself from using shamanism against garrohs, and faced him using physical prowess only)
it also helps the fact that they are a warrior culture, were both peasant and noble are trained in the military arts since childhood.
this is why it saddens me to see the desitions made by blizzard regarding the horde.
I think the moment I felt more proud to be horde was when I completed the long and epic quest-chain "Hero of the Mag'har" and redeemed garrosh's honor in Nagrand.
but on northrend, blizz has changed the horde too much, and further changes are in the horizon, changes that I don't like.
the broken front was one of such changes, it left a bad taste in my mouth to do that horrible quest, that goes against everything I believe as a horde, it's not the orc way to atack someone from behind, with such a dishonorable tactic and then to actually ask us to finish of the wounded who can't even fight back, that is not the horde way.
another change is thrall's unexplained passiveness, back on Vainilla and BC he was the most active racial leader on the entire game, heck on BC alone you interacted with thrall everywhere, he was the face of the horde all the time.
on nagrand, on old hillsbrad, on hyjal, but then came WOTLK, and suddenly all the spotlight goes to garrosh, to the point that thrall says almost nothing in the dalaran summit, he says almost nothign on the argent tournament, and now aparently won't even be present on the lich king's fall, even when all the important figures will b there.
on cata he's not gonna be even on orgrimmar.
I don't know what bug bit metzen but they are castrating my favorite character, and hero of the game. =( it's not fair.
plus they are sinking the horde into a state that I barely recognize, and this is NOT what I signed for.
Rankkorr, if we're weren't 2 different people I'd swear we were thinking on the same plane here.
This is exactly what I feel myself about the horde, the orcs, the reason why I admire the horde so much, why Thrall is my hero... But now, things are being changed for the worst, the 'noble savage' horde I admire so much is being changed, and taking a step backwards instead of forwards.
I want to believe this is all some kind of a test, to show up that the reason the true horde (as it is now) means something is because of its noble actions in the face of things, and not to do with senseless warfair and just that want to kill people like the old horde did.
I want to believe theres gonna be some epic story of the horde losing itself to blood rage and savagery because of Garrosh, but it manages to redeem itself. And likewise, I want there to be something of with Thrall not leading or guiding them, that without his leadership the horde would faulter, and remember that Thral really is the reason they were redeemed.

A Loup-garou is the closest to the monsters of legend. These werewolves have been intentionally cursed by someone, usually a very powerful sorcerer, demon lord, saint, or one of the Faerie Queens to be possessed by a wolflike demonic entity at every full moon. They become near-mindless killing machines with supernatural speed, strength and ferocity. They recover from injury almost instantly, are immune to poisons as well as any kind of sorcery that attacks the mind. They can only be killed by a weapon made from silver which has been inherited—not just purchased. The curse of the loup-garou can be hereditary if the one who placed the curse specified it as such. Usually the person afflicted with the curse is aware of their condition and will have enough sense to isolate or shield themselves from society to prevent the horrible damage they would inflict on the rest of the people with the next full moon. As such, Loup-garou attacks on the populace are thankfully rare. The only one featured in the series to date is Harley MacFinn whose family curse originated from St. Patrick himself. So am I the only one who wishes Worgen had a form for that? I mean really, were supposed to be cursed Werewolves.... and that is the biggest baddest arse werewolf I've ever come across, in either movies or books.

Well it does kinda resemble the Worgen.
These werewolves have been intentionally cursed by someone, usually a very powerful sorcerer
That could be Arugal.
They become near-mindless killing machines with supernatural speed, strength and ferocity.
Darkflight racial as well as their +% damage racial.
are immune to poisons
Well if you replace poisons with curses and disease it could work.
Usually the person afflicted with the curse is aware of their condition and will have enough sense to isolate or shield themselves from society to prevent the horrible damage they would inflict on the rest of the people with the next full moon.
Similar to what the Gilneans did with the Greymane Wall.
As such, Loup-garou attacks on the populace are thankfully rare.
Come cataclysm those attacks wont be so rare :).

Heh, nah this thing was insane; at one point, it tears apart a cop shop, and it's only because of Dresden and Murphy that they finally get it out there, and he blasts the thing through most of the Chicago PD building, and the building across the street... and the freaking beast just get's up and runs away heh. I want a werewolf like that in game heh.

who here likes tirion
he's a bit of a sue, but then again 98% of the characters in wow are sues in their own right, so that's not an issue for me.
so yhea, I like him, he was actually able to cast down his position of privilege to help an orc, if only other humans were like him, peace between orc and humans would had been achieved ages ago.
and now, a diferent question...........
what does the horde crest means?
all simbols must mean something.
I just had taken a look at the wow aniversary mini-site, ya know the whole "warcry" contest where ppl print the crest of the alliance or horde, then take a picture with them holding it, and show it to blizz who will then build a mosaic with all the pics togheter (and BTW; I checked 20 pages of the photos sent, :D not surprisingly, the vast majority of them are horde, each page has like 3 or 4 alliance player-pics, and 8 to 9 horde player-pics XD it shows who's more proud of their leader and faction)
but I'm getting out of the point here.
what I wanted to ask is what do you guys think the horde crest means or represent.
the alliance one is simple, and obious, it's a lion, lions represent pride, royalty and strenght.
but the horde crest is kinda deeper, and I wish I knew what exactly does it represent.

It's probably some old orcish rune. I'll Wowwiki it and see what I get.
As for a meaning, I'm guessing 'strength' or 'honor'. You get the idea.

Well, what exactly it represents is tough to say. Unlike the Alliance crest, that depicts the image of a Lion, it's just a symbol. I'll have to do a little research before I can comment on what the Horde crest means.

I'm am fairly certain that the crest for the Horde and Alliance alike is a combination of a symbol from every race in the respective faction.

Rankkor
not really, that would be the "banner" that combines elements from all races, let me put an example here.
this is the "banner" of the alliance.
as you can see, this one does indeed represent all races, the 2 arrows represent the night-elves, the cogs between them represent the gnomes, the hammer and anvil represent the dwarves, and the lion-shield represents the humans.
so the lion Icon is for humans only, not the other races.
on the horde is the same deal.
this is the "Banner" of the horde
and like the alliance one, this one has influences from all races, the horns and feathers represent the tauren, the 3 voodoo masks above the shield are for the trolls, the shield with the rune represents the orcs, and the chained bones above the whole structure represent the forsaken.
but the Rune alone is for orcs only.
not for nothnig on the argent tournament, the human tabard has the lion, but the other races tabard does not. and the orc tabard has the rune, but the other tabards of the horde does not.
Lion=humans
Rune=orcs.
the real dillema here is what does the horde rune represent, because all symbols represent something, from a cross, to a leaf, all represent something.
it would be intresting if the game devs had stated this anywhere.

Well, I think it's some sort of heraldic rune. I think I saw it referred to as the Icon of Battle somewhere so that would make sense.

Yeah, the Icon of Battle uses the symbol, but that doesn't really explain it's meaning. Knowing Blizzard, it could either be something that's completely made up, or it could be taken from some real symbol, like a traditional chinese or japanese character, or a germanic rune of some kind.

I'm thinking it's just a symbol.
From a real world perspective, I'd say it's just something cool that Metzen or Samwise drew up and said, "You know, that looks totally Horde-ish."
From an in-lore perspective, I'd say that it's just some ancient Orc symbol whose meaning has been lost to time, and has been used since Orc prehistory to represent the orc race.
