Stab...she took off before the Attack began; they say that in Twilight of the Aspects. So tell me, why would she suddenly leave before the sanctums blew up, and the Temple was assaulted? It's way too much of a coincidence that she just happened to be gone before the place was attacked by her Father's forces.

She knew then. But if she had been on Deathwing's side, she would have stayed and fought for him. No she wouldn't fight for Deathwing, but she wouldn't betray her father's plans either. She was as corrupted as he was. All I'm saying is that she stayed 'neutral' throughout the affair, joining neither side. She did die during the Siege; but what she was doing underneath Karazhan or why, will never be known unless Blizzard decides to enlighten us.
Also, do you think Sinestra may have survived the encounter in the Bastion of Twilight? She was only sucked down into the lava pit and didn't leave a body, right?

Unless she was the Temple, providing information for her father, and she was the one who helped to set up portals in the Obsidian Sanctum to allow both Sarth and his twilight cousins to set up a new home, and to allow the Twilight Hammer cultists in to start corrupting the eggs of the other sanctums, which is why she cut and run just before the assault began.
And since the Sinestra in BoT was already dead, after her first death during Night of the Dragon, I sorta doubt it.

Makes sense...we just don't have any proof. Ah well, we'll probably never know for sure. (Although since Sarth was a black dragon, I doubt anyone noticed that he was in the Obsidian Sanctum, he probably summoned the twilight drakes himself.)
As for Sinestra, I know she had already died, but she still had her mind, like Nefarion and Onyxia. I just find it highly suspicious when a boss doesn't leave a body behind; unless its beyond a doubt that they're dead. (Like Ragnaros.)

Hey Rank, when you get the chance, try listening to
this
. It's one of my favorite songs by that band (I have all their albums), and it feels like it was
made
for Mass Effect. If I was any good at making music videos, I'd make one myself.

In the quest 'Solution to Doom,' Theldurin the Lost says
Oh my! Oh my! There is a doom approaching. Mark me! A doom! No, I cannot speak of it...cannot utter their names or they may hear me! But if we learn, yes, if we learn more of them...then maybe we can learn how to foil them! Maybe. Go into Uldaman. No! I said it! You must find...find the tablet of...Ryun'eh. Yes, find it! And don't make me speak that name again! It is deep in that place, in an ancient chest. That's where it hides...in a chest crafted before the works of any dwarf.
Perhaps Ryun'eh could be the next Old God?

I think it's just a throwaway reference to Lovecraft. Cthulhu sleeps in the dead city of Rl'yeh and all that.

Alright guys, what do we want to say here? Y'Shaarj; 'alive' or 'dead'?

Dead...since you know, It's been confirmed dead since Pandaria started. All Garrosh got was a portion of it, and not the entire thing. If he was still tainted by it, Lord Zhu would have just killed him on the spot, and not taken him off for a trial.

Horde version of the cinematic.

Garrosh was completely and utterly tainted by the Heart of Y'Shaarj. The Old God gave him Xal'atoh, warped Malkorok into his present form (something even the Titan's Divine Bell couldn't do) twisted Garrosh into a monstrosity and whispered ominously throughout the fight. (And didn't Y'Shaarj transport the raid into a nightmare realm? Haven't done the fight yet so I'm not sure)
Now I know that the corpse of the Old Gods can do that kind of stuff, but 'dead' the Heart created an echo of itself. Then Garrosh resurrected it and took it back to Orgrimmar and strung it up as a hunting trophy; the ultimate incarnation of his pride, and the perfect feeding grounds for the reborn Old God. Y'Shaarj then reached out to the klaaxi, who sent their greatest warriors to guard it, but why would they come?
They said that they would only go if the Old Ones actually returned; not for some dead husk. I believe that Y'Shaarj meant to transfer his essence into Garrosh; the perfect host. And the Paragons came to ensure that their Master's plan would succeed.

Fixed the link. Also, first time we actually ever see Gallywix, and he's still not looking like he should.

Or....it's just a matter of serving the power of an Old God, and you are looking too deep into something that no longer matters, since the taint of the Seven Headed One has been destroyed, and Garrosh has been led off by the jailers who have kept the Sha down for 10 thousand years.
And that's all it was; just an echo of the original, since the original has been dead for 65 thousand years. It's like how Saronite could cause corruption, and the corpse of C'thun could still whisper: They have the power to reach out, but it doesn't mean they are coming back.

How does that explain the Klaaxi; could you see the mantid sending the greatest Paragons to guard a giant chunk of saronite? A beating heart is much more than dried blood or a dried husk.

If it was a sign that the power of Yogg had chosen someone to lead a new army, yes I could see them doing that. It still wasn't the Old God itself though, merely a portion of it's power that the Mogu had found and sealed away.

Wait, you think the mogu created Norushen and sealed the Heart away? I still do think that Y'Shaarj was resurrected and then killed again, but we'll probably never know for sure.

Since Norushen looks like a gigantic Mogu...going to say yes.

It says in the dungeon journal that the Titans created him and that the mogu might have been created in Norushen's image.

I like the little extra the Horde version has.
