I would imagine so. I'm just speaking on average. Being that the whole philosophy of the Shadow is about using ones willpower to shape the world, it would take a lot of willpower to be a
good
Shadow priest at all. I'm just thinking that they have a greater than average baseline will.
That would also imply that Forsaken in general are hard to mind control.
Of course, these newbie Val'kyr Forsaken get their minds for free, so they might be more susceptible.

Until the other shoe drops, and we learn that the Val'kyr's have been secretly connecting all of the new Forsaken minds to Sylvanas so that she can just steal everyone's wills with one sweep =P.

Here, you dropped this. *Offers Tin Foil hat* :P
I think their main strength would be that they have an alien psyche. They are unnatural, and no other race thinks like them.
Except... you know... humans. Considering they are human and all. (Or Elven, in some cases)

A possibility, but, either way, I think the concentrated Necromantic magic that the Val'kyr use to ressurect the Forsaken would be powerful enough to enhance their minds to the same point as their pre-Wrath counterparts (which were really just victims of the Plague raised up late).

I think you left your logic in the fridge bro'
Why go through all that effort then? If she wants puppets that obey her unquestioningly, she'd use standard necromancy and be done with it. We all know that the Death Knigths of Acherus were DEADLY and quite effective troops even when their will was bound to the lich king. They didn't needed to have free will to be strong.
Sylvannas doesn't wanna lead mindless undead because she's not one herself. The sole reason for using valks is precisely so she can have a people to rule that isn't just made of a bunch of yesmen puppets. They can win wars (as proven by the lich king) but are not what she wants.

Because not all of her people are agreeing with what she is pulling off; tin foil hat or not, if it came down to keeping her people at her side, I can see her taking a page from the Lich King's book when she finally leaps whole hog into the madness time.

Adamsm does have a reasonable theory. It would explain the change of eye colour. She could sort of use the Val'kyr as sort of master puppeteers, where since she doesn't really have necromancy she goes for the next best thing. Putress betraying her likely opened her eyes to the fallibility of her current forces.

I still don't think it's likely.

Probably not. But it's going to turn out something like that to really drive home that Sylvanas is evil, thus new raid boss for Lich King revamp.

I doubt it.
Honestly, I have my doubts WotLK will even get a revamp.

You have a point. Outlands will probably be back if only to bring back the Legion, which considering that blurb with the warlocks seems likely. But with Blizz working on that new MMO maybe they'll skip Northrend for something else.

Okay, I'm confused...
5.2 Audio SPOILERS
But…what. Of course they are. One problem at a time, Veressa. Everyone advance, and if anyone sees that traitor Aethas Sunreaver, save that one for me.I'm still confused as to how Aethas is a traitor in any sense at all. Aethas was the one arguing that the Blood Elves should go back to the Alliance.
I'd understand if she was saying "If anyone sees that traitor
Fanlyr Silverthorn
" or "If anyone sees that traitor
Thalen Songweaver
", but I don't understand why the grudge against Aethas, or the Blood Elves in general.
All I can think of is that she is literally delusional at this point.

No, its just lazy writing to make the Alliance seem even more warmongering and as much of a problem as the Horde (a bad attempt to keep the ideas of "favoritism" to a minimum in the fanbase). I would commend Blizzard if they ACTUALLY decided to make her completely delusional, because that would suggest a sheer ammount of post-Theramoore trauma having been affecting her decisions and would add an incredible level of psychological depth to her character.
But I doubt I'll be commended Blizzard on their decisions anytime soon.

Dude, in the words of the wise General Iroh: "
Nope, She's crazy and she needs to go down.
"
She's angry about Theramoore and even angrier that she has no boogieman to kill, no scapegoat to vent her frustration and her anger, so when a target was presented to her, she didn't even bothered to confirm if it was friend or foe, she just leaped in and sank her fangs as deep as they'd go.
Notice how at the end of the purge of dalaran, when Varian tells her that the blood elves were innocent and were actually trying to rejoin the alliance, she doesn't show regret for her actions, makes no apologies, nor admits she made a mistake. She scoffs at varian, basically tells him to grow up, and storms off.
And I am still confused about why is she entitled to do what she did. Ok so she's pissed off that the sunreavers "Supposedly" helped the horde (they didn't do it, but she doesn't care) and broke off the neutrality of the Kirin Tor. But............. the Kirin Tor sent mages to Theramoore to help repell the horde assault. Even Rhonin himself went there.
Why is it ok when the Kirin Tor aids the alliance but absolutely wrong when the sunreavers aid the horde?
She even calls the sunreaver captives (which since there are families living in dalaran, would include CHILDREN) as "prisoners of war". Rather than use the more correct term: Hostages.

Hopefully on its way to becoming Azeroth's version of Atlantis. I'll help make it happen if I can >_>
