Garrosh and the Shadow Council - Wouldn't that be Cool
? I agree, having the good ol' Shadow Council finally make some sort of a comback to the forefront would be awesome!

Be interesting...but even corrupted, still can't see Garrosh reaching for the Demon drug.

I'm with adamsm on this one. Garrosh idolatries his father, and he KNOWS the very reason his father became a pariah was for dabbling in fel magic. And the very reason his father is now a HERO is because he freed the orcs from fel magic.
There are some lines even HIM can't cross. As seen in stonetalon, he doesn't considers killing civilians or children or anyone otherwise not fit for battle, to be honorable.
I can see that he HATES the alliance, far more than a rational person should. And this hate is a giant beacon for the Sha on MoP. I can completely see him generating massive amounts of Sha with his hatred, which is the reason he must be stopped. I could also see a scenario of the sha FUELING his rage to generate more of their kind, and maybe even empowering him. But Garrosh specifically allying himself to warlocks and shadow council? no way no how.
Its as absurd as Sylvannas resorting to standard necromancy to bolster the ranks of the forsaken. She HATES mindless undead, she wants free-willed undead to follow her banner, so this is why she uses ONLY valks because they and they alone can ress someone as a free-willed undead. Going full lich-queen mode and employing standard necromancy is a no-no for her.

Heh you know, someone on wow.com mentioned that a boss fight against the Sha would be to actually not fight; since the things are feeding off negative emotions, would make for an interesting fight mechanic if you weren't actually meant to fight the boss.

here's how I figure a fight against a sha could go down:
The sha can possess a famous and strong lore figure, and we gotta smack some sense into him or her, such as the sha possessing Varian, and we gotta fight him, and knock him down a peg till he snaps out of it. Ditto if the Sha possessed Thrall.

I'm just hoping we'll get a wide variety of Sha types; after all, they are beings of Shadow and would be cool to see what the developers can come up(hopefully the standard ones won't just be a re-use of the Flesh Beast model).

So it basically lorewise means that warlocks and death knights are screwed
big
time, while Paladins (debatable with Blood Knights), living priests and treehuggers get an additional benefit.

They not perfection, but at the end of the day, the alliance are good people just trying to make the world a better place. And so are the Horde, so the idea that one is a superhero is flawed and is the biggest proof it's a joke. But seriously, you obviously don't know a joke when you see one, so it's a useless argument so let's just drop it.

The wording or did you skip my entire post the moment you saw I wasn't agreeing with you? He wouldn't have used those terms if he was serious. He would have used "heroic, just, defenders of the Light, etc." - Not stuff that comes from super-heroic comic books.
As Metzen is a massive comic nerd, it's fairly obvious he's kidding Sold. But go ahead and think how you like....just remember this though, had he said that about the Horde, you would be here screaming about Horde bias.

......../sigh You've gotta be kidding, I mean really. The name Go'el in Hebrew means "redeemer", derived from the verb lig'ol, "to free". A Go'el was a close Kinsman, whose duty was to perform any task a man could not perform by himself. Another duty of the Go'el was to free his kinsman from slavery — appropriate, considering Thrall's role in liberating the orcs from generations of enslavement to fel magics, as well as being held in human internment camps. ("Go'el" is one of the traditional titles of the Messiah.) Whatever Sold, you want to be a super hero go ahead, but just remember what I said; if Metzen had said it about the Horde, you'd be here #$%^&ing crying moaning and screaming that it means the Alliance aren't the good guys you see them as.

It is a complete coincidence, since even if it was a reference: There are still no Superheroes on Azeroth; if there was, none of the %^&* that happens would have happened.
But seriously, you are one screwy individual, who needs to stop taking every single thing you read as being completely serious(remember those threads about Elune really being a Naaru, since you(as Lupinedruid) didn't realize that Tin-Foil Hat means Wild Mass Guessing?).

And common sense to anyone else, when there are no superheroes in a universe, would realize when someone else is making a joke. And no Sold, most people don't need a visual clue to tell them when people are joking/being sarcastic...mind, that's most, there are those out there who believe every single thing that is told to them, no matter how out there, such as the Goddess Elune really being a Naaru, even though there is no evidence anywhere to back that theory up.
It could be a reference to Ka'el, but that doesn't mean he actually made Thrall to be like Superman; common sense shows over wise. He made a joke that the Alliance are superheroes(even though absolutely nothing in lore backs that up) because he knows that the Alliance players are feeling unloved after Cata; the joke is that they will get more love in the coming expansion, but so will the Horde.
Again, what you don't seem to understand is that Metzen, is
never
gonna declare one faction as good, because it's too easy for people to declare that means the other faction is evil, which isn't what he wants; he wants faction pride, but not faction fandumb.
