I hate how tabards look on robes.
main reason why I dont like casters, and why I hated when the shaman tiers were robes. Thank god when 4.3 is out, and transmog is here, my shaman will have what ever man in the world should be wearing...... PANTS.
In fact, if I can find a full set of matching cloth armor greens that look like PANTS, I may even level a caster, and transmog every single robe into pants.
Dios bendiga los pantalones =)
Pantalones = pants. What about pants I could never tell you.

I basically said "God bless the Pants" on spanish :P
also, I've been kinda living under a rock (named Skyrim) for the past week or so, can anyone tell me if there's been any news regarding 4.3?

Kirin Tor Garb
wants to have a word with you. There are no boots that match it exactly, but
Treads of the Dragon Council
,
Sandals of Rash Temperament
or
Boots of the Servant
almost match it.

Plot Points for the DK.
And....Instead, the death knights were pretty much created to draw Tirion Fordring out of hiding at Light's Hope Chapel. They were nothing more than bait -- and that didn't sit well with Highlord Darion Mograine. Mograine handed over the Corrupted Ashbringer to Tirion, whose powers managed to purify the blade. Tirion attacked the Lich King, the Lich King fled, and Fordring vowed he would see the Lich King put down for good, calling for a union of the Argent Dawn and the Order of the Silver Hand into the Argent Crusade.Told you the 3rd Gen were cannon fodder.

except, the third gen is identical to the second gen, in everything.
There are only 2 generations of DKs, the corpses with orc warlocks in them, and the random humanoid races imbued with runic necromantic powers either pre or post death.
That specifically the knights of the ebon blade were a batch devoted just as cannon fodder doesn't make them a completely different class from the knights used on the third war.
If that was the case, the Host of Suffering would be classified as a fourth generation of DKs (And they aren't)
Mass Produced =/= low quality. That simply means they wanted to purge the weak from their ranks, by trowing up the newbie DKs against the scarlet crusade, and whoever survived that, would be strong enough to have a fighting chance against the argent dawn.
What I haven't liked is how Dks have beens swept under the rug after WOTLK. If the argent crusade had a role to play in cataclysm, why not the DKs too? I mean, why would the Ashen Verdict be disbanded after WOTLK? they could had remained together and we could had seen both paladin and DK NPCs on both plagelands.

This actually describes a lot of my feelings. I don't believe there's a definite point in which they stopped being second generation Death Knights and became Third, I think people just use Third to represent the Death Knights of the Ebon Blade, while if it were a definition based on some fundamental difference between the two they would still be Second Generation, while if it were a definition based on the time they were raised, Koltira, Thassarian, and Mograine would all be considered Second Generation. Alternatively, if it refers to Death Knights no longer under The Lich King's control, it means that they were still no different to Second Generation while 'fodder.'
And they certainly weren't just mass produced to be extremely weak cannon fodder, sure some are stronger than others, but we did see the initiation process and the very first thing you did after creating a Runeblade was kill another initiate. That's a straight 50% filter right there. There are a ton of non-elite and even elite Death Knight mobs soloable at content level that your character is easily more powerful than.
I kind of actually like the idea of The Ashen Verdict disbanding, and even having some tension with The Knights of The Ebon Blade, perhaps even some tension within The Ebon Blade itself now that they do not have a common foe. I do want to see it explored though, at least in the low-level zones where a lot of Lore stuff goes on that most people don't care to see.

And yet, many people have disagreed that they were meant to be fodder to draw out Tirion.....

Death Knights are a minority, a small group of people versed in a rare trade (like Arcane Magic): not unlike nearly every class avaiable to the player. With the only exceptions being the Warrior, with the Rogue and the Hunter to a lesser extent.
Not even Hunters. Hunters have an almost druidic relation to the wild, though as someone within it more directly almost. Even Rogues and Warriors employ acrobatics and seemingly subtle magics that no ordinary thug could do.

I kind of wanted to hold onto the idea, and I don't think it's limited to Night Elves, but I think Druids, Dwarves, and even Blood Elves as well as probably many other races I'm forgetting can appreciate the balance of the eat or be eaten world of nature, but with the rising of all classes for all races explanations it's kind of falling out.
