Still a difference between a 7 foot tree and several million tons of rocks and earth.
To quote Yoda I want now badly.

Mainly because it said there was the hidden village in Stonetalon Mountains, and they speak of the Pandarens going west...plus, you know, they left before the Sundering happened.

After Stormwind fell to the Orcs prior to the Second War the survivors fled "across the Great Sea to Lordaeron". However, if there both located on the Eastern Kingdom how can this be? Or did they mean that they really travelled up the coast to the north and the body of water in general was the Great Sea? Or am I missing something? Thanks!

They just traveled up the coast. If you read
Tides of Darkness
, the novelization, it expounds on that =)

The Great Sea is the body of water around the Maelstrom; so yeah, they just went up the coastlands; Menethil wasn't in place till later and the Dwarves weren't actual allies yet so they couldn't just stop there.

as others have said, they sailed from south EK to north EK, landing in southshore to be more accurate.
maybe "across the great sea" wasn't the best term, after all, "across" would mean...... they crossed the sea, if they kept near the shoreline in order to reach southshore faster, that hardly counts as crossing the sea.
Also, back to joker avatar :P as fun as the panda-troll face was, nothing compares to the pure epicness of DAH JOKER.
And as soon as Arkham City is out FOR PC, I'll take my best screenshot possible and use it as a new avatar =D

You could probably find one on the internet right now, or just take one from a well-recorded playthrough?

Just saying, seeing Tiffan on Day of the Dead in the Stormwind graveyard would have been great, possibly an event with Wrynn showing a softer side like in his leader short-story, but that's just me. Anyone else feel it'd be nice? I mean seriously he's the warmongering ******* but he does have the sensitive side...

Aye, but day of the dead is just a minor events, like the pirate one. It's just one of those thigns the developers thought "hey, this would be neat" and threw it. That's why there's so little to do in it. Maybe it will evolve into something greater after a while, but I highly doubt it.

Thanks all for the comments! I'm reading Tides of Darkness now and that's where the confusion was coming from. Just wanted to make sure I got the land right :) They do need to use a better word than 'across' for that trek.

You see, that Pandaren DOES stick out. The only other thing that is even remotely as 'out there' is the tuskarr, whom I don't like either.
