I'm pretty sure whatever lies on the completely unknown sea isn't worse than the vrykul ghosts, naga, kraken and the Maelstrom.
Except there may be a lot more of them over there; the central sea(for a lack of a better term) is well known and has been used for the last decade or more; the other routes to the west/east of the main land masses? Far as we know, not used that often.

Or they might be used all the time, and the loadscreen never shows it because the red line would look wierd going the other way around.

regardless of how you slice it, all and I mean ALL the alternatives of getting wood, are harder than simply taking it from ashenvale.
The only alternative that would be easier would be to buy them from the alliance, which could be a win-win scenario as the horde gets their timber, the alliance gets more money, and no blood is shed. This was almost accomplished in the theramoore summit, but hey, all it took was a couple of twilight cultists to shut it down.

Well, it did circulate the Maelstrom at one time.
Still does depending on what you are riding/flying too. But yes, the Auberdine to Menethil boat went around the northren part of Kalimdor then across the top of the Strom to reach the Wetlands.

Honestly, it might be a slip up from Blizzard's part but to be entirely honest, if it isn't, that means the unknown sea might be the host of extremely terrifying things.
Nothing is scarier.

I'm pretty sure it is and will be the subject of a future expansion.
Well, until MoP was revealed, Pandaria was originally suppose to be somewhere in the West, since there was mention of a hidden Pandaren village on the coast of Stonetalon, of course now we've learned it's to the south, the polar opposite of Northrend. I don't know, wonder if eventually we'll end up with one massive continent again, especially if they go with the idea of Naz'jatar rising from the depths from the Maelstrom; could make land bridges to all four continents then.

Aye; we don't know what's one the backside of Azeroth after all, since even the globes in Halls of Lightning show a good view of the back.

That would be the main character from the manga/anime Bleach in his half Hallowification mode.

It gets even better if you know Hollow!Ichigo's voice. And that's even before he's set foot into Hueco Mundo...

Do it. Still too early for a coolface!panda anyway :P

Not that it matters, but wasn't it somewhere in the North?

Far as I remember, they talked about the Pandarens leaving the super continent of Kalimdor and heading west out to sea.

Well, that was before the shattering, wasn't it?
Might have just been moved down south over time for one reason or another.
Hellfel, maybe N'Zoth got bored and dragged it around a bit.

Before the Sundering; and not sure how it could migrate down to being directly across from Northrend on a map. And I doubt the Old Gods are strong enough to actually move something physically from within their prisons.

I thought N'Zoth moved Xavius' tree from out of the ocean. And besides that, it was a joke, lol.

Still a difference between a 7 foot tree and several million tons of rocks and earth.
