Oh I dunno, rune-covered cobra?
That sounded exactly that much ridiculous in my head.

Snake form.
A second option for the balance tree. Focuses on lunging forward and grabbing opponents for short times and poisoning them, effectiely a DoT class.
purely a joke...

However, IF they ever decide to kill her off, THEY BETTER make that a horde-only thingie. It would be quite unfair that the alliance gets a chance to ice one of our leaders, and frankly this is more of a horde business than anything else. We were the ones who took out Varimathras, we should be the ones finishing sylvannas as well.
Pretty sure that if they do that, it'll happen off-screen with another lore-figure landing the blow.
There's a ton of ways to do it.
If Blizzard goes that route I think what'll ultimately happen is the Alliance is going to start hunting down the Val'kyr sisterhood. After the last one is killed Sylvanas really goes off the reservation and she's subsequently deposed in an internal rebellion.
The Alliance might be present during the rebellion, but they'll be more using the general chaos for their own ends (such as Thassarian jail-breaking Koltria) and won't fight Sylvanas directly and certainly won't be the ones to actually kill her. More then likely it will be her replacement that deals the killing blow.

If there's ever a Revolution in new Lordaeron, I'll expect it to be the ripe fruit of a very detailed and very long story arc. One that should be starting... now. More Forsaken joining the Argent Crusade anyone?
We do have a defector in
this man right here
after all.
Judkins is definitely an interesting case. Previous Forsaken members of the Crusade never spoke out against Sylvanas directly, so his dialogue could indicate a change in attitude of the Argent Crusade towards the Forsaken.
If I had to guess the Forsaken story arc in Cataclysm is simply setting the stage of Sylvanas's fall. We got to see what direction Sylvanas is going and how her new tactics are earning her a lot of enemies. We also saw that if the Val'kyr sisterhood is wiped out, Sylvanas will become vulnerable. Next we should start to see rumblings of discontent within the ranks of the Undercity.
Resistance to her regime will probably come in part from new Forsaken who finally managed to fully process the experience of undeath, and veterans of the Northrend war who picked up some of the views of the Argent Crusade and Ebon Blade. Eventually a clear leader of the movement will emerge, Ideally a Pro-Horde Human Forsaken. Someone who will take over after Sylvanas falls.
At the same time we'll see what's left of the Val'kyr Sisterhood being hunted down. Some will be killed by the Alliance, others by Forsaken dissidents or neutral factions operating covertly.
Once the last of the Sisterhood is slain, Sylvanas will go completely off the reservation and be overthrown in an internal rebellion. The Alliance might take advantage of the chaos for their own purposes, but they will not seriously influence the outcome.

This npc's text is pretty much confirmation of sylvanas getting offed in the future.
"I once worked for the so-called "Banshee-Queen", Sylvanas, as an apothecary. I used to admire her, but something's changed within her. She's not herself anymore.
I broke my vows with the Forsaken and joined the Crusade. Now, I use my knowledge of alchemy to seek a counter-plague agent. And the Plaguewood is the perfect place to do so."
If not, than this entire npc text is 100% pointless.
I've done that quest line, it's pointless. You're getting your hopes up for nothing. Sylvanas isn't going to be a raid boss. The alliance aren't taking back 'their land'. She's not going to become the 'Lich Queen'.
hold your horses pal, this isn't about the alliance getting back "their" lands, this is about getting rid of someone who's very clearly going off the slippery rope here.
Lordaeron DOES belong to the forsaken, but they need a leader who's less wacked in the head.
Sylvanas is the most popular leader (internally) and one of the most successful leaders (present wise, I'd say she ranks second place). As far as the Forsaken are concerned, she's fitting their needs quite well: Vengeance against the Scourge; Lordaeron back at the hands of their legitimate owners and a future with the Val'kyr.
that's for the older forsakens, but the new ones are likely hating her guts secretly. The original generation of Forsakens owe their cursed state to the lich king, they have nothing to hate sylvannas for, and actually see her as their Saviour who provided them with home, purpose, revenge, and protection against a world that hated them just for being different.
But the NEWER forsakens were humans who had a LIFE, they had loved ones, friends, family, and they had all that snatched away from them, rather than allow them the peace of death, they were raised as abominations, cursed to live forever in a world that will NEVER see them as anything other than monsters. So while they work for sylvannas out of necesity (seeing as their former comrades would never take them back) they dont necesarily have to worship her, or agree with her, or accept what she's done to them.
Damocle's sword has been hanging over the head of Sylvannas ever since she started to FORCE her curse onto others.
Knights of the Ebon Blade are EXACTLY like the forsakens (Innocent people who lost their lives against the scourge, and against their will got ressurected as monsters) but they accept that their condition is a curse and DO NOT seek to expand said curse.

Well depends on how far she pushes her expansion: If she keeps going into the Plaguelands and starts attacking the Argent's, she'll definitely end up biting off more then she can chew. Same if she goes after Aerie Peak, or any farther south into the Wetlands; the Dwarves will show her the what for, same as the 7th Legion non-humans did in Gilneas.
I'm still hoping for something to happen to Arathi in the future, with Danath coming back to free his cousin and take the land back; we can leave Hammerfall alone, but free the rest heh.

Eh, I would like to keep the wall.
Always seemed strange how the alliance seemed to control most of Arathi pre-cata, with Hammefall up on its own in the corner. (And the farms around, but they were also cornered...)

I wound't exactly call "control most of the area" what the alliance is doing.
All they have is 1 very small refugee camp, and the ruins of a city they dont even control, as the syndicate controlls 60% of it, and ogres control 15% of it.
so yhea, 15% of a city in RUINS, and 1 lousy refugee camp hardly count as "controling most of the area"

Which is why I want Danath to come back and clean it up; give the Alliance more quests in that zone.

Who controls the remaining 10%?

Semantics aside, there must also be that base we see in the Battleground.

Actually, the Batlleground would stretch between Refugee Point and Hammerfall in regards to the bases/node locations.....which is strange, less the map is rotated by 90% degrees or so heh.

just took a look at the dungeon journal of Ultraxion, and saw something I don't like :S
looks like the aspects and Thrall give us a hand like on the deathwing fight, but taking a look at their dungeon journal entries, this is something kinda disturbing.
Alexstrasza
Gift of Life - Alexstrasza creates a crystal of pure life energy. Activating the crystal imbues one healer with the essence of life itself, increasing healing done by 100% for the duration of the battle. The crystal has one charge. Only one buff granted by Alexstrasza, Ysera, or Kalecgos can be present on a player at any time.
Ysera
Essence of Dreams - Ysera creates a crystal of dream energy. Activating the crystal imbues one healer with the power of dreams, which causes all healing done to be duplicated and distributed evenly amongst all friendly targets within yards for the remainder of the battle. The crystal has one charge. Only one buff granted by Alexstrasza, Ysera, or Kalecgos can be present on a player at any time.
Kalecgos
Source of Magic - Kalecgos creates a crystal of amplified arcane energy. Activating the crystal imbues one healer with the essence of magic, reducing the mana cost of all spells by 75% and increasing spell haste by 100% for the remainder of the battle. The crystal has one charge. Only one buff granted by Alexstrasza, Ysera, or Kalecgos can be present on a player at any time.
Nozdormu
Timeloop - Nozdormu captures all players within a finite timeloop. Any attack which would otherwise kill the player will instead bring them to 100% of maximum health and remove the Timeloop.
Thrall
Last Defender of Azeroth - Thrall,
now the Earth-Warder of Azeroth
, blesses all tanks with the immovable strength of the ancient stones of the world. Reduces defensive cooldowns by 50% and increases defensive ability durations by 100%.
