I agree that it was Doomhammer who razed Stormwind, but of course I consider him a hero. Not for the Alliance however, but for the Horde. I can understand thinking he's a villain if you're an Alliance supporter, but I will say that Doomhammer did what he had to do to defeat his enemy.
If he hadn't razed Stormwind his people would have continued to be hunted by the Humans. If you're looking at it purely from the Alliance perspective, you'd know that if Doomhammer had not continued Blackhand's campaign at that point, then his people would have all been rooted out and slaughtered. Therefore, he did what he had to do.
But, if you look at it from an all-inclusive perspective, you'd realize that it wasn't what he did during the first two wars that made him a hero, but what he did afterward.

So we both have written views on the situation... Untill Blizzard says one of them, I guess we can't be sure. But keep in mind, that no matter which one it was, Doomhammer would have taken a role in Stormwind's destruction either way.Yes, because he was an orc warrior and leader. From what I've read, not just in game, but out of the manuels and the books, it sounds like Blackhand started the attack, he was in the lead when the siege and destruction began, then Garona kills Llane at the order of the Shadow Council, Doomhammer finds the assassin, beats her, and goes for the Council and their puppet. He doesn't call off the Horde from razing the city, as they would have torn him apart at that point.
But, yes, I wish Blizzard would clear up all the retcons.

He didn't need Gul'dan to attack. And it's a confirmed fact that Gul'dan was in a coma during the siege. Medivh was killed the day before the attack.

But I will open my side of view larger: Lothar says in ToD that he sent peace makers to the Horde several times, and that they were killed. He would have settled for peace.
Doomhammer may have settled for peace, personally, but the commanders below him would not have. If he had accepted the peace treaties, then it's likely that he would have been killed, along with any of his supporters. He knew that if he were to be killed, then there would be no hope for his people in the future.
The demons didn't make Orgrim do anything, his will to lead his people down a better path did.

That's because he was an imposing orc. They feared his power, and he was a good leader. But if he decided to make peace, those demon blood crazed orcs would just kill him and put a more "orcish" leader in his place.
Think of it this way: The Romans really respected Julius Caesar. They were quite loyal when he was leading them to victory. But when he lost favour, he was assassinated.
(Loose metaphor, but you get the idea.)

I don't know why everyone keeps saying this, all of his follower seemed loyal, and anyone why would cross him, like Gul'dan, was always cautious about it.
Difference between loyalty and going against the Horde; Doomhammer wasn't demon-tainted like the others, so his idea of peace, and being non-warlike, would have gone against the Horde's ideals at that point in time. It's one of the reasons why the Frostwolves were exiled after all.

Exhibit 1: Rend Blackhand
Exhibit 2: Maim Blackhand
If they had been given any opportunity to usurp Doomhammer, they would have. Him accepting a peace treaty with the enemy would have given them enough grounds to do so.

There's a large possibility that incest takes place in the Legion's ranks.

Can't be incest, the Sayaad's, Man'ari Eredar and all the other races are well... different races heh. It's probably like how the Church of the Light calls everyone 'brother' or 'sister'.

You assume no Dreadlord has ever manipulated his way into a Succubus' pants. Or that a Pit Lord has never "lorded" his way into the plentifull arms of a Mistress of Pain.
The Legion is all about corruption, me thinks breeding programs or good old fashioned rape aren't a rare occurrance in the back alleys of the Twisting Nether.
Wait, I got confused. Yeah, that's not incest. Unless you count the Eredar Twins' suggestive nature.

You gotta love it when Blizz takes out the middle man and puts WoW porn straight into the game.
I mean, who looks at WoW porn?
