Gilneas History:
By the start of the Second War Gilneas was one of the most powerful human nations, and because of this, the kingdom's ruler, Genn Greymane, was not a strong supporter of the Alliance, believing that his own armies would be more than enough to deal with any threat. Despite this, Gilneas was not neutral towards the Horde, and did join the Alliance late in the Second War, although Lord Greymane constantly argued against its existence from beginning to end. A token force under the command of Lord Godfrey, at his own insistance, fought the orcs with disasterous results that further damaged Greymane's feelings towards Lordaeron. Shortly after the Horde was defeated, Greymane pulled his nation's "support" from the Alliance, refusing to spend his nation's resources on keeping the orcs alive in internment camps or in rebuilding other nations devastated by the war. Gilneas, along with Stromgarde, infact lead the outcry over the decision not to execute their defeated enemies. Greymane's isolationism may have been influenced by Daval Prestor, secretly the black dragon Deathwing in human form, who Greymane had supported to the throne of Alterac.

And since the Forsaken have conquered all of Alterac, we'll probably never see a continuation of that storyline, unless A) We find out he's been Forsakenized, or B) Danath comes back, and there is a major push in the north from Gilneas, Kul Tiras, Stromguarde and the Alterac forces loyal to Isilden come out of hiding....of course, since Pernolde's daughter is still out there too somewhere......Well in the RPG she was at least.

Eh, well since the zone itself doesn't really exist anymore(folded into Hillsbrad at this point), and while the Crushridge Ogres and a few small remnants of the Syndicate are kicking around, for the most part, after the bombing of the Stormpike forces, the land belongs to the Forsaken.
And yes, we could end up seeing a Worgen Isilden(actually forgot about that part heh), which would be interesting, and more incentive for the southern Alliance forces to join in even more for an assault to reclaim the northern states from the Forsaken who have invaded the other countries.

Did they ever say how Stromgarde ended up knowing of Alterac's betrayal? I know they were the first to uncover it but they never said how they did.
Think it was a combination of running into Horde forces where the Horde forces shouldn't have been, that the Alterac forces weren't assisting when they should have been, and then eventually Trollbane and his men watch as a group of Alterac soldiers let a portion of the Horde just walk through a pass. Been a while since I've read Tides of Darkness.

Maybe.
We both know we're likely to get that Horde side once Thrall comes back though so it could make for an interesting Aldor/Scryers rep grind without having the problem of both warring factions being able to be in the same side.
Eh, I'd honestly see new Alliance quests up there trying to reclaim portions of Hillsbrad, Alterac, Arathi and Gilneas myself.

Yeah but after that, I mean.
That being said, I'd like some quests where the Horde won things honorably but we can't always get what we want now can we?
True.

I stumbled across this and thought I'd bring
this guy's work
to attention. I find it simply amazing, the level of skill he has with making these models. A number of them seem better than the Blizzard-made ones.

I would agree with that statement.

interesting, the quest for the legendary daggers will involve infiltrating the lair of none other than Nalice. Which I'm sure most of your remember as our dear ambassador of the black dragonflight on Wyrmrest temple, who mysteriously vanished once the black dragonflight returned in numbers on the Twilight of the Aspects book.
After having checked the greetings quotes of Wrathion, I was amused by 3 of his lines.
"I DO NOT share my father's madness"
"I must remain hidden if I want to remain free"
(when provoked) "You do not want to make it to my list"

Lol, from today's queue:
Phoenix asked:
WoW Insider streamed two of the new dungeons on the PTR, End Time and Hour of Twilight. Which is your favorite so far?
End Time is an enjoyable jaunt and I will happily run it over and over again. Hour of Twilight is a huge headache and I did not think it was possible to make Thrall a more irritating companion than he was in Escape from Durnholde, but Blizzard pulled it off. I hate him. I really, truly hate him.
Running down a plain, snowy pathway in Hour of Twilight doesn't feel very good, either. Especially after the wholly different, post-apocalyptic view of the exact same zone that we get in End Time. It's like .. End Time is a delicious chocolate cake, right? Hour of Twilight is that same cake, except someone scraped all of the frosting off. And your green-skinned friend runs up and
throws it on the ground
before you can eat any of it.
This is the PTR, though. They can still make Thrall not-a-pain-in-the-ass. We don't know how close they are to finished with these instances at all, so don't take my opinion as any sort of solid condemnation.
End Time is where it's at.
