the new death animation for thrall looks kinda..........
sissy?
reminds me of the female goblin death animation (one step to the left, then another to the right, put your hand on your forehead, with a semi-spin, and then LETS.DROP.TO.THE.FLOOR.AGAIN!)
Seems to have been designed for the Firelands event (him getting split into different parts), each step having him loose his balance as he's torn apart untill he finally falls to the ground a soulless husk (take a look at the expression on his face after he falls, it seems to say no one's home rather than i'm dead).
Morec's gonna be getting some new armor when the patch comes out.
That dk teir is beast! And the paladin teir rocks too!
The cloth dungeon set is badass too.
EDIT:
Trying to figure how this works...

It's awesome. Probably the best set since Judgment. Quoting my esteemed self from the blog post, if we ever got Judgment in that detail, it would be
the
most awesome tier ever to exist.

agreed. I'm flat-out jealous of the paladin new pvp armor. THE best plate armor in the game by a LONG SHOT.

The Broken Front if I'm not mistaken.

Just sort of wondering:
I'm not a fan of the Demon-Hunter boat or anything, but what are their status in modern Azeroth? Wowpedia mentions a few defectors, as well as all the trainees at Black Temple. What are the chances of them siding with Azeroth against the Burning Legion and training more?
I'm sort of wondering if their might be enough to warrent a demon-hunter in a fan-fic.

Very low as you wipe out the Hunters at the Black Temple through the course of questing. The only ones on Azeroth were from the RPG so non-canon for that; as it stands, they don't really exist in numbers anymore.

There is one still in Felwood and one in Nagrand according to Wowpedia...

I don't think we can say anything until we have a confirmation from Blizz. I mean, take death knights for example. Before Wrath came out, weren't they supposed to be
the
elite fighting force of the Scourge, their numbers similar to those of, say, San'Layn?
It may just as well be similar with the demon hunters.

2 out of a few hundred that used to exist.

More then San'Layn as the Death Knights were the elite guards of Naxx, with the Horsemen as their leaders.

I was more referring to their portrayal in WC3 - less than two dozen, if my memory serves me right, and all powerful generals no weaker than Liches or Crypt Lords (gameplay-wise only, but still).

Those would have been the forerunners to the Four Horseman and the Baron though....and actually, the Baron was around before them so...hard to tell.

Ah, that's right. Missed the box that said they managed to push into Icecrown and remembered that they appeared to be at the Wrathgate on the last page. I thought it was still that at battle (the boom didn't help). Thanks for helping to clarrify that.

Could be the Baron was merely a servitor of the Scourge with no powers at the start of it, but after seeing the death knights in action petitioned the Lich King for the power they had. Given his services in helping distribute the plagued grain, it was granted.

Well he had to have a reason for giving up the city to the Scourge and betraying everyone.
Is it juts me or is player power getting ridiculous? The shades in End Time are supposed to be faction leaders at full strength, except for maybe Tyrande.
In-game, players have always been heroes on par with most of the faction leaders. Just take a good look into some of the things you do during questing and raiding.
If you take most books into consideration however, the power levels of everyone are much lower than in-game or in Knaak's novels.
So measuring people's power is kind of tricky.
EDIT: by 'on par' I meant 'not as far away as For the Horde/Alliance achievements make it seem'
Can't really mix game mechanics with Lore; as a lot of what we've fought has been strong enough to just do the Finger Poke of Doom to us and we'd explode.

EDIT 2: Am I right to think that this 'Heaven and Hell' dynamic is a new development from Wotlk's ending and Sylvanas' leader story? I don't think the waracraft afterlife has been this explicit since Warcraft 2.
Where is this mentioned?

Isn't that true for all video game - book transitions?
