Meh; you read enough Japanese stuff, you hit that section eventually.

I'm actually not big into manga beyond what grows from anime. (FMA is the only manga I ever got really into.)
So I had never heard of it. Just assumed a meaning based on the context.

In a way you were correct though.

Gonna hop in with a few questions:
1. Can the Aspects (except Deathwing, of course) enter Deepholm?
2. Does the World's Heart actually "exist?" Is it simply the center of Deepholm/Azeroth?
3. Is Kalecgos' title also the Aspect of Magic (the Spellweaver, etc)?
4. Was the presence of the Aspects (all of them including Nozdormu) at the World Tree during the Elemental quest chain canonical? Does this mean Nozdormu is actually "around?"
5. Does a dragon REALLY have to inherit the power of an Aspect, or can anyone inherit the power?
One more:
6. Do the Aspects actively fight in their humanoid forms? I have yet to really see it. (Krasus and Prestors that actively fought in combat don't count)
a little, late but adding a bit to what adamsm has added:
1: all aspects can travel to all planes of the world
2: I would had imagined that the world's engines were the heart of the world, and those would be located in storm peaks, I mean, those HAVE to do something right?
3: Every aspect can make up their own title. Look at neltharion, his title was Earth-warder, he ended up inventing "Aspect of Death" (ohhh how original). So, thecnically Kalec can make his own title, but I'm betting he wont want to be associated with malygos, so he likely will invent his own title.
4: yes, as adamsm said, Noz returns in the latest book, so he's now actually around.
5: The latest book specifically said that no mortal race could posibly hold the pure primal titan-endowed power of an aspect, only dragons, the most powerful sapient creatures of azeroth could, so yes, when deathwing is a goner, a dragon will have to inherit his power. Who that dragon will end up being, is up in the air. There's that black dragon egg from badlands, and there's the netherdragons (Who descent from black eggs)
6: They "can" fight in their humanoid forms, but that diminishes their powers considerably. Krasus in several parts of War of the Ancients said that if only he could transform into dragon he could do more damage to the enemy. The humanoid forms are mere disguises, and while (as adams said) their forms are more confortable for "intimate" moments, they prefer to fight in dragon mode.
Hmm, not related to what you guys are discussing, but I just realized something very interesting (in my opinion):
Every gilnean worgen has a vrykul ancestor
, since all humans in azeroth came from vrykul, that means that
every gilnean worgen has a vrykul ancestor
.
Wow, that's pretty neat! I love history :D
ejem, I dont wanna be rude sold, so dont take this the wrong way, but look at the underlined parts of your post.......... that's redundant information. Try to avoid using redundancy so much in your posts.
Example of redundancy: "
This is a
green
staff, its 20 inches long, its
green
, it has a wolf head on the top, and a dragon claw at the end, its color is
green
, and was imbued at a moonwell. Also, its a
green
staff
"
Repeating the same segment of info even though it was already stated is considered redundant, and........ well lets just leave it at "It looks weird"
also, what you "discovered" is already pretty common knowledge, every single human (gilnean or not) descends from vrykuls. That being said, this was when the world itself was young, and the bloodlines were broken a long time ago. Living vrykul ancestors to the humans do not exist today. Trying to roleplay a worgen going to visit his or her vrykul great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandaddy is just silly.
Further Explanation:
To the vrykuls, humans were mutants, abominations, deformed freaks, because humans were smaller and weaker. Because of this, they ordered the utter and complete extermination of any human child that was born, and their parents too, to end the bloodline of "weak links" this is a warrior race, that defines itself in combat, any weaknesses they just exterminate it.
Eventually "some" vrykuls who gave birth to human babies fled northrend and traveled to the eastern kingdoms. There, their human children had more human children, and eventually their original vrykul ancestors died. Those vrykuls that remained in northrend have NOTHING in common with the humans, no common bloodlines, no ancestry involved. Nada.
TL;DR the Vrykuls related to humans left northrend and died of old age in the eastern kingdoms already, and the vrykuls who gave birth to human babies in northrend were executed.

Every aspect can make up their own title. Look at neltharion, his title was Earth-warder, he ended up inventing "Aspect of Death" (ohhh how original).Actually, it was tagged onto him by the other Flights; just like how due to the stable time loop, Neltharion was tagged with Deathwing during War of the Ancient.

my point remains, titles are not written in stone, each aspect can have whatever title they want. If deathwing hadn't loved his "new" title (Aspect of Death) he would had likely invented another to better reflect his intentions.
I still believe that Kalecgos will not want to be associated to Malygos and will end up inventing his own title other than "Spellweaver".
Look at what the russians did once Stalin was gone, the city previously known as "Stalingrad" was renamed "Volgograd" to cut the association to Stalin. (Also known as Satalin xD). Kalec will want to improve the already stained reputation of his flight, and that wont happen if he has anything to do with malygos, that's just politics.
(To put a meta-example, during the development of Deus Ex Human Revolutions, the devs made the game oversaturated with A LOT of yellow, but they also made mention in an interview that they avoided purple colors in the entire game, not a single spec of purple is seen in the whole thing. Why? because Deus Ex Invisible War was a rotund failure, HATED by all the fans of the franchise, and that game had an oversaturated purple everywhere. So, to avoid Human Revolution being tainted by the bad rep of Invisible war, they avoided using purple in the whole game and simply used yellow, while the original deus ex, a true classic loved by all who played it, had a strong
blue
hue with it)

What I meant by roleplay was make a character that is the ancestor of one of your characters you play, and obviously this character is long dead, but make like a story that was set WAY in the past, staring one your characters long dead ancestors.
ya but then those ancestors would have NOTHING in common to gilnean culture AT ALL.
Do remember that before the 7 human nations existed, all humans were single scattered tribes with simplistic native cultures, before being unified as part of a single nation, the nation of Arathor.
it was only after the nation of Arathor split that the 7 nations including gilneas were formed.
Therefore its pretty pointless to make a story about a gilnean vrykul ancestor, when said ancestor goes SO WAY BACK it cant be considered at all gilnean.
Its like trying to write up a fan-fic about the ancestor of a samurai warrior........... that lived in the year 2.000.000 BC............... =/ back then, japan didn't existed as a culture, humanity was just barely rising from the primordial muck.
Edit:
For the rest, what I meant was that every single worgen of gilneas is descended from a vrykul, meaning only that
they all have relations to some vrykul who are obviously long dead
, I just found it interesting. Of course,
they are still related to those long dead vrykul
. I only just put two-and-two together last night all of a sudden, it's not that I didn't already know this, I just didn't consider it. Ya, I'm sometimes slow......
:P more redundancy xD you really need to combat that bro'

A Vrykul, while the 'ancestor' of humans, is an ancestor the same way cavemen are ancestors to us; the splitting of the new 'flesh' Vrykul occurred before the War of the Ancients even started....hell, it was probably happening before the Night Elves even started their own society, so it's merely just a note in history at this point. A modern day Gilnean would know in the abstract that they came from the giants of Northrend...but wouldn't know anything about that olden time.

While I can sort of see why you might write a story such as that.... I fail to catch your point...

Doublepost just to separate the two.
In response to the thread about Thassarian that I refuse to enter, why would the Alliance accept Death Knights in to their ranks, but didn't even lift a finger to help their Forsaken brethren?
