Probably no more then anywhere else; only place that Shadow Priests are outright accepted is among the Forsaken.

Can I take this moment to ask what counts as faith in WoW, considering Light constantly referances some obscure Blue Post?
Let us say we have two people who worship the light, both are equally devout and convinced in their way of worship.
One believes the light requiers daily sacrifices, so he makes daily sacrifices.
The other believes the light requiers him to heal people daily, so he does.
Who is more faithful, and who becomes more powerful?

I mean society-wise. They wouldn't call it the "Third War," because while it was the Humans' third war with the orcs, it wasn't for the Night Elves.
they'd still call it third war even if they took no part on the first 2.
Japan took no part in World War 1, and yet they still call it like that. Although, World War 1 was previously called "The great War" or "The war that ended all wars" as it was suposed to be the largest conflict humanity had seen......... then along comes a biggest effing war with the highest death toll ever seen, and............ well ya know what happened.
Now, what I dont get is why the Third War is called like that. The First War and Second War, were Alliance Vs Horde. But on the Third War, the horde and the alliance never went to war agaisnt each other
In fact, the horde LEFT the eastern kingdoms before the third war began, and both factions didn't met again till a very VERY small splinter of the alliance (led by Jaina) met them on kalimdor, where they had some skirmishes but not total complete war. They ended up fighting side-by-side as allies.
So..... Diferent battlefield (First and second wars were the horde attacking the eastern kingdoms) Diferent enemy (the horde attacked nobody, they left the eastern kingdoms, and it was the Scourge and the Legion who razed the kingdoms of the north) Diferent circunstances (This time, it was the horde fighting the bad guys, ALL of the horde, along with all of the elves, and a small part of the alliance)
why is this war linked to the first and second in name-theme? one may as well call the Troll Wars, or the Spider Wars , the fifth and six wars as well.
I think I have a theory about why is called the third war.
The common denominator on all 3 wars, is that the alliance is attacked, and some of its kingdoms are destroyed. In the third war, 5/7ths of the alliance got obliterated (only Ironforge and Stormwind were left intact). Ditto for the other 2, kingdoms of the alliance got destroyed (Stormwind on the first, and I think alterac was it on the second?)
The other wars the world has seen haven't been called numerically because no alliance city has been involved.

Because the number of the war corresponds to the RTS game it is featured in?
Can't think of in-game reason, though.

ya I was thinking about a lore reason :P more akin to a child asking a paladin of stormwind why is the third war called like that? The paladin woudn't respond: "well kid, its because in the first war was in the first game, the second war was in the second game, the third war was in the third game, and the fourth war was in the third expantion of the fourth game"

I suppose it's the wars according to the most major conflicts that the humans have been through, as a guess.

Yeah but then it would be the 5th War: as the War to unite the northern kingdoms then the Troll War happened first. It's mainly just called the 3rd War because for some reasons, the time lines all start at year 0(the time of the First War), so...yeah. And there was still some Alliance vs Horde fights in the Third War too, or at least, factions: Don't forget, WC3 starts with Arthas and Uther dealing with Blackrocks in Lordaeron before starting against the Scourge.

You'd think though, that if the Night Elves were going to use a calendar, their own year 0 would be at the end of the War of the Ancients and go from there; same with Draenei probably being when the split with the Eredar occurred and so on. But I was referring to the Humans there Sigma, not the Night Elves, since they've had numerous 'wars' long before the Humans had their first one.

Well, it could simply be the consolidation and reform of previous calendars into one calendar. Sort of like how many other calendars have died out in order to use the Gregorian calendar. :P

The Alliance and Horde
did
fight during the Third War though. I can recall several instances where they did so.

Eh, I was going to try and figure out a way for Blood Elves to be Shamans, but it failed.
:)
Not that impossible.
On a grand scale? Probably not going to happen for now. But individuals could easily embrace nature, considering they already have relations with ancient protectors and other spirits.

Why do Kvaldir disintegrate into seaweed when they die?
A: The Kvaldir typically reside deep in the ocean, where their corporeal forms would be crushed if their mistweaving magics didn't hold off the ravages of the depths. Although they remain flesh and blood in life, their deaths result in a backlash of mistweaving energies, dissolving the Kvaldir into mist over time. All that remains are patches of sea growth that had accumulated on their bodies and, of course, any loot they were carrying.
Then what was with the kvaldir being able to be slain normally by Garrosh and Cairne in Prelude to the Cataclysm?
And more talk about Deathwing's Old God master. Given that he'll be the final boss of the expansion, however, I'm thinking that we will kill the Old God holding Deathwing's leash and giving him power, and then the super-charged dog will be off the leash.

pieced together and reanimated by the powers of Deathwing's Old God master.
Official then, Deathwing is an Old God crony.
