I like this only because Jaina looks undeniably badass in the image at the front
. If only she acted like that 100% of the time instead of rolling over to Varian's wishes.
Oh, what else has she got to do now that Thrall's gone and got himself laid? She's obviously starting to act like the booty call of Azeroth. ARTHAS, LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!

Heh, yeah. Despite being, arguably, one of the most influencial leaders in the Alliance - or at least having the potential to be - she takes a far to pacifest route for my tastes.

Or the writers decide 'Hey, hot chick with a staff. We've gotta make her a @#$%, right?'.

Ehhh, I think that may be pushing it a little. The only one she has ever had a relationship of that manner with was Arthas - Kael'thas was more of a stalker than anything. Thrall's thing was just a rumor - although I think he may have, infact, greatly resented the fact he was perminantly stuck in the "tedious ally" zone - and Varian is likely very similar to her relationship with Thrall - although more on the "you make bad decisions on foreign policy but you have a sword and armor so I'll consider you a leader."

Well, she does call him "
my
King". :P
My personal belief with Jaina is probably quite far-removed from the writers at Blizzard's attitude towards her, and could very well be wrong, as it hasn't been portrayed in game, but still. I have to say that I'm sick and tired of women in fantasy needing a stronger man to help them lead, to get them through the day and to keep them safe. A prime example of this in WoW is Tyrande. In WC3, she didn't need Malfurion to decide to attack the orcs or humans, or to rally against the demons - she just needed his and his druids' assistance to defend Azeroth. In WoW, however, and in the games, Malfurion is helping her along every step of the way and motivating almost everything that she does.
Other examples (although a little more unhealthy and obsessive) include Maiev and Sylvanas. They are hollow without Illidan and Arthas, respectively.
Jaina would have been a
perfect
character to break that stereotype that Blizzard has, to the most part, forced on female characters in the lore. After Arthas, she becomes disenchanted with men - she's motivated by her people, she's cold and calculating, but strong. No, instead she's just another lady in a dress swooning over any man with biceps the size of her head and incapable of successfully doing anything on her own. Again, this isn't quite linked with the WC3 Jaina.
Just my thoughts on the matter, mini-rant over. :P

Did that happen before or after the ambush? If it was after, that will be in part two.

Quick question;
If one is powerful enough in magic, can they bring themselves back as a Lich with free will? Are there even any Liches with free will?
Post by
Adamsm
All Liches have free will since they are all willing converts to the Scourge. And they all set up their deaths to become Liches at that point.

But, even if one wasn't aligned with the scourge, they could still become a lich?

Where would they learn the spell? Only the Scourge has it.

Where would they learn the spell? Only the Scourge has it.
Same way the orcs learned how to raise skeletons before the Scourge existed?

From the Legion, which taught them Necromancy....which is what the Scourge knows too lol. But the Lich spell is something that seemed to appear with the rise of the Scourge, as there wasn't much mention of it before that point, and we've only ever seen Humans do it.

Then they research, which is probably how the Legion found that magic.

Um....not in that case; the 'new' first recruits, the Dreadlords, taught the rest of the Legion since they came up with the school in the first place.

Then the dreadlords obviously researched. It's not like they can just "do magic" without ever researching how to manipulate it.

Aye, but the chance of random Azerothian magi coming up with the same spell out of the blue is low to zero; being taught it by a Scourge or Dreadlord would make more sense, and being a part of one of the groups.
