Eh, Noz doesn't need to have been manipulated by them; he spent 1 nanosecond/infinite time stuck in that time storm thing the Old Gods created to keep him busy while trying to break free during WotA; if you were stuck there while trying to hold the entire timeline stable, I think your mind would be gone too.
mhhm, so he's losing his mind?It might already be gone.
As for the Infinites; when dealing with time travel, it can be anything from an evil twin to a future version of yourself that came back....and it could also be that the Infinites aren't 'evil' and are actually time cleaners or something of the like.
If they were 'time cleaners' why haven't the the Bronze Dragonflight accepted them?
I just found it a bit ... peculiar that Noz was missing when the Infinite Dragonflight rose to power. The Bronzes know a lot, but they don't know 'everything', only their aspect does, and as he's missing.......

I don't know why, but I personally like the idea of Nozdormu being captured and forced into creating the Infinite Dragonflight by some evil organisation (whatever it may be) by one of the main Big Bads or something similar.

Yeah, but you know they would just wimp out and cast it as an Old God; I still like the idea of the 'evil' twin of the Timeless one(as in, a Noz from an alternate timeline) myself that's in charge of the Infinites.

Well, I'm thinking of a Kalecgos in Sunwell Plateau type situation, where he's got no choice. Rather than being corrupted by some multi-tentacled abominable fiend, as I'm getting sick of the Old God ass-pull, and I'm beginning to lose track of good
girl
guys gone bad. :P

While we're on the subjects of the Old Gods, well kinda, where do you think we will see the others? We have seen C'thun in Silithus and Yogg-Saron in Nothrend.
I think I remember seeing something about one being buried deep inside Karazhan, but I can't remember exactly.
There is the Old God that was partially corrupting the Emerald Dream
There is possibly an Old God inside of The Maelstrom with the Naga.
Any other theories?

The old star theory keeps coming up:
1. Ulduar/Northrend is the North star point.
2. AQ is the Southwest star point.
3. Tirisfal/Zul'Aman is the Northeast star point.
4. Stonetalon/Darkshore/Ashenvale is the Northwest star point.
5. ZG/Kara is the Southeast star point.
As for Kalec, that was partially trying to save Anveena, and partially Legion mind control.

Aye, I love Old Gods, but man Blizz is starting to use them in all the wrong places.
Like the assassination of Varian's father. -.- It doesn't even make sense.

Also, lowly sergeant he may be, but new Elwynn questing experience does introduce you to him.
Sauranok just isn't remotely important.
Also you grossely overstate Rommath's importance.
not really, Rommath IS a part of Silvermoon's ruling council.
Remember that Silvermoon has no crowned king, thus it's ruled by a council of the most powerfull entities on it. With Halduron representing the rangers, Rommath representing the Magisters, Lorthemar representing the nobility, and arguably (since she's not present, it's hard to tell if she has any saying with their matters) Lady Liandrin representing the Blood Knights.
the fact that a member of Silvermoon's royalty could be a member of the twilight hammer would had been AWESOME, as a way to demonstrate the power of influence of that cult, as oposed to Sauranok who is a really low-key character.
Ditto for Benedictus, who is the leader of the biggest religious organization in the planet, and a beacon of hope and prayers across the world. Instead we get a lowly sargent as the man behind the shadows........

Like I said though, with the current Pope being named "Benedict," I think having
Benedictus
turn out to be an evil cultist would be a little too controversial for Blizzard's purposes.
That's not to say that I don't think Pope Benedict is not a manipulative cultist, but I don't think that's what Blizzard wants people to think they're saying... :P

Heh, never mind that Benedictus has been in lore for several years longer then the current pope has been in the seat of power.

Correct. The media would jump on it with joy, and I'd imagine the Pope would probably sue, something Blizzard could do without.
Terminal was jumped on by the media from MW2, this would be no different.

I found it funny that both "experts" who commented on the controversial "Interactive Sex" avaliable in mass effect had the exact same answer when asked the same questions:
Have you PLAYED the game?: nope.
Have you even SEEN the game?: nope.
of course, not playing the game, and not even seeing the game, wasn't an obstacle for parading it as an obsene game that depicts women as objects, and had "interactive virtual online rape" avaliable.
seriously........... tsk tsk tsk.
I guess that could be the reason why they scraped benedictus' betrayal, wich is a bloody shame because it would had made the most juiciest awesome plot twist this game has had in the past years.
let's face it, plot twists make a story good (and I mean REAL plot twists, the sort that you just don't see comming, cuz some plot twists can be seen from space)
Rommath being a traitor would be something that wound't surprise me at all, given how he was Kael'tas number 1 yesman, but Benedictus being a traitor would had definitly been on my top1 list of "didn't see that one coming"

I think that what Sig's saying is that the ruling council don't actually
do
anything. He's not quite as important as the Ranger General (who is in charge of all of Quel'thalas' military) or the Regent Lord, who likely has the final say in political decisions, and despite that, Theron or Brightwing don't do anything either.
