I loved Badlands. When I saw Rhea, before she revealed herself as a dragon of course, I was like 'Aaaaaaaaw a friendly, non-money obsessed, yet still sassy goblin!'. Then it ends up not even being a goblin. -.-
I honestly hated Deathwing so much for killing Rheastrasza. D: This time,
it's personal

I still honestly see the Netherwing flight possibly taking over the duties of the Earth Warders.

I see your point, but I doubt they would want to leave their home world, broken as it may be.
They've already been dragged to Azeroth, could see them remaining behind after Deathwing is finally stopped.

That egg could very well be the first of a new generation of black dragons, from what I remember the last broodmother of the Blacks was killed during a quest at Twilight Highlands. Who knows, maybe that egg will spawn the Aspect and Broodmother of a new, un-touched by the Old Gods' influence black dragonflight?

I don't see it. They are Netherwing drakes, and seeing anything made with 'Nether' energy guarding over the earth? Especially if there IS a purified black dragon hatching somewhere on Azeroth.
They could end up protecting it, and teaching the whelp, as they are the 'cousins' same as the Twilight Dragons.

Still, Neltharaku the Earth-Warder sounds all right to me.
While we're on the theme, is there any explanation behind different colors of the Netherdrakes?

It's just that Nefarian's experiments with Chromatic dragonkin may rouse a suspicion - what if something similar has been tried on the Netherwing?

Except the Netherwing weren't an 'intentional' experiment; after Khadgar and the Expedition drove Deathwing off, he was forced to leave behind the Black Eggs he had been hiding on Draenor, then when the explosion happened, they were warped at that point, something about the spells on the eggs reacting negatively with the ka-boom.

True, all though I almost think that the would fall to the red dragons just because they wouldn't want to see anything happen to the whelp.
Possible too.
Depends on how much credit you give to Deathwing, really. I remember the
tin-foil hat edition
know your lore on wow insider a while back, and they pretty much stated that Deathwing could have used Draenor as an experiment. If he did, then the Netherwing were very much intentional.
Bolded for emphasis. As it stands now, Lore says the Netherwing were an unintentional creation.

I always just figured that the Nether was way too chaotic for them to fall into the same arbitrary color-coded-ness of the other flights.
