KYL: Maraudon stuff.
I like how one of the KYL writers go back and deal with minor things, wow lore isn't just
Arthas
you know.
A question I'd ask, which book shows rhonin's 'raptor army' and would anyone bother telling me what (the hell) happened?
Totally unrelated to the thread but
don't you dare play with my dreams, whoever you are
Night of the Dragon, but I don't know what the context is.

IIRC, (it's been a year or so), Rhonin went to rescue... Krasus I think, in Grim Batol. So he calls an army of raptors through his thoughts and takes them to Grim Batol.

This implications of this are troubling.

It's a fourpack.
That sounds dangerous.

Kingslayer Orkus says: "Did I ever tell you about the time I met Varok Saurfang? I asked him to sign my massive pectoral muscles. He backhanded me instead, which is why I sometimes forget things now.
It was totally worth it
."
That line is so full of win I'm tempted to make it my new signature.
Surviving a backhand from saurfang himself is pretty hardcore.
this is why I hated to see orkus die =(, it's also why I've done AV on farm ever since that quest, killing balinda and Vandaar is PERSONAL ever since that quest, and it's also why I'm hunting all across kalimdor and Eastern Kingdom's for Ivar's head.
No matter where he is, no matter where he goes, I WILL find him, and enact my very own brand of justice.

I'll just quote one of my posts from a few days ago.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!
on hillsbrad the overall story chain is that the stormpike dwarves aren't doing so well in alterac, so they intend to invade hillsbrad to cut off the frostwolves from reinforcements and win their war with them.
as it happens you gotta stop them, just entering this zone you meet a rather AWESOME character named "Kingslayer Orkus" of the guild <Red like my Rage> who is dressed up in full sanctified warrior tier 10, and flying on a frostwyrm.
he's little more than a ganker at first, but he was indeed awesome :'(
in the end you and orkus make your way to purgation island, where a sinister meeting is takign place, Vandaar stormpike, Balinda, and Ivar are meeting up to discuss a potential alliance of Ivar's pack with the stormpike dwarves.
they hold their plans in plain sight, and orkus sacrifices himself so that you make a dash, grab the plans and fly out on his mount. His loyal mount Kasha rescues him, but he's already mortally wounded.
He died as a brave hero of the horde, and his sacrifice allowed the horde to prevent the stormpikes from razing hillsbrad foothills to the ground.
The first thing I did when I completed this quest was queue up for AV and killed Balinda and Vandaar with all the rage I could muster (this time it wasn't just business as usual, this time IT'S PERSONAL) but Ivar is nowhere to be found.
I WANT HIS HEAD!!!!! >=(
frikking Ivar >=(
he's gonna pay dammit >.<

Ivar who?
As for the rest... I'm glad Vandarr whacked him (or whoever did). I still see HIllsbrad as Alliance territory, wrongfully taken by the Forsaken (that rhymed =D). I think the dwarves should have managed to capture part of Hillsbrad.

As for Hillsbrad, I suppose it might have been Alliance territory (no Scourge there, so the only way a Hillsbrad resident could be a Forsaken is if they were vacationing in Capital City or something when Arthas came back), but that's still not a reason to be glad Orkus is dead, imo.
I consider the Barrens Horde territory, and yet I'm still sad that General Hawthorne died.

Well, that's true. From the quest rankkor linked (the one where you become the quest giver. I'm looking forward to that) he sounded like a cool character.
Maybe I'm just biased because rank has started hunting Vandarr.

I don't really blame the Alliance for doing anything more than their jobs (hey, if an orc charged into my camp, killed one of my soldiers, took my plans, and then attacked me, I'd try to kill him too), but I don't blame Orkus either.

to tell you the truth, all the times I killed vandaar in the past, it wasn't personal, it was stricly business. He was doing his job, and I was doing mine. simple as that, 2 soldiers on oposite sides of a war.
but Orkus was a rather awesome character, and thus, the people responsible for his death anger me. I know that Vandaar, Balinda, and Ivar killed orkus simply due to the war, he was a soldier on the oposite side, and so was I, but still.
also, I place the blame of Orkus death mostly on Ivar, as I saw the fight, and Orkus actually did some damage to vandaar, and incapacitated valinda before Ivar got the jump on him and backstabbed him.
also, if u're asking "what ivar" I mean Ivar Bloodfang, Worgen scum, and the main target of my personal bloodhunt.
Maldito perro sarnoso, nomas esperen a que le ponga mis manos encima >.<
(the "perro sarnoso" was about ivar :P )
This isn't about "who was in the right, and who was in the wrong" Dwarves were invading, and plotting with the worgens to raze the entire place with siege engines. Forsakens were planning a counter-attack to prevent the invasion from ever happening. Vandar did his job in trying to protect his invasion plans, Orkus did his job in securing those plans to stop the enemy. I'm hunting the trio simply because they killed a character I liked. Much the same way as I hunted down the Lich king for killing Saurfang Jr.

Why is it personal now? He was just doing his job, strictly business. Just because an awesome character dies doesn't mean that it makes it personal.
Meh. I just think there's a double standard.
For example, any point I bring up against any orc besides Garrosh, I say that he did something and I'm going to hunt him down. Response: "Orcs are honorable and he's a shaman, so you're out of luck." Insert any Horde race you please in there. If they do it in wartime, then it's just fine whatever they do. It is completely unjustified if I hunt them.
But, heaven forbid the Alliance do something violent in war time. /rolls eyes.

And I know the Alliance probably said the looters weren't on their side, but whatever. They're humans
That means that the Blackrock orcs who raided a peaceable monastery are evil and the Horde is evil right?
Alliance is brutal, Horde might be moreso, but only to survive.
That's an invalid excuse. The Horde is pressing the Alliance. Both have to do anything to survive. That doesn't make the Horde more noble.
In addition, Alliance were pretty violent with the Scarlet Onslaught in Northrend, they told you to kill the leader because she had done something bad to the poster on the wanted board.
Quest please? They told you to kill the leader because she's the leader of the freaking
Scarlet Onslaught
.
