Since I was directed here I'm going to post here.
Am I the only one who thinks the Infinite dragonflight are not serving a 'bad guy'.
I think they are trying to make things turn out so that they best serve the entire world. No Thrall means no Horde, which means the Battle for Mt Hyjal fails. No Orcs means the same. No Arthas means no human Lich King, but you know Ner'zhul would have found someone else to take up the armour.
Second question.
"Even Deathwing will pass into time... even he will eventually be part... of my collection..."
Quote from Nozdormu found on wowwiki. Collection of what? History?Read Day of the Dragon.

So... Apparently the Horde killed Delgren the Purifier and Feero Ironhand. Those two human paladins at Maestra's Post.
It's worth noting that they were members of the Argent Dawn.
>:(Alright, and now I'm finding out that the Horde knowingly spread corrupted troll charms among the Thistlefur Furbolgs.
I'm starting to hate my own faction, and I just watched the elves slaughter the entire Shatterspear tribe, for %$#@'s sake.Alright, the Horde literally have Ota Wen and a bunch of other furbolg in a giant cage. From what I can make out, they're Foulwealds that sold themselves into slavery to avoid being wiped out. You use Dartol's Rod to shapeshift into a furbolg and convince them to rise up against their Horde oppressors.
Edit: They corrupted the Forest Heat to. Jeez, the Horde sure got the villain ball in Ashenvale...So I went back to Darkshore, because I had two quests that I still needed to do before I could get the Darkshore achievement.
I found
this
quest chain. Apparently the Shatterspear trolls had a torturer. When I found that, I was a little irritated. Those aren't the trolls I know, but I figured "Hey, it's war, and we don't have any type of Geneva Conventions against torture, so I guess if the Horde is pressuring them for intel, then they may not have a choice whether or not to use torture."
And then I found out that the person they're torturing is a civilian.
I'm really starting to get p*ssed at Blizzard.

Well, you've just idealized how those trolls must be, since they rarely - if ever - talked. Pardon me but I think it was a terribly done image you held unto; if anything trolls are actually prone to torture.
But hey, there goes another faction I never imagined torturing before. Mages of the Kirin Tor, in Borean Tundra, ask players to do it on their behalf since Dalaran doesn't like torture very much. So those mages there are condoning something even though they do have a kind of Geneva Convention - the law of Kirin Tor.
And sincerely I kind of like to see these things. The more gray the better to me.I understand that I've added a lot of fanon that has biased my attitude towards them.
Still though, the trolls in Vanilla were dancing and neutral. The trolls in Cataclysm are savage torturers who are apparently acceptable targets of genocide.
They are also Horde. It is frustrating to see the Horde so obviously portrayed as villains.
Edit: And yes, grey is good, but the Horde isn't grey in Cataclysm, it's almost black, and the Alliance isn't grey in Cataclysm, it's almost white. There are no negative reactions to genocide for the Alliance, and it's never mentioned again.

Well, if you can give some instances of the Alliance performing equally bad acts, I would most certainly love to see them.
I'm not even joking. I would honestly feel better if the Alliance is being portrayed as equally villainous as the Horde in the Horde quests.

And the Gob Squad (including Slinky Sharpshiv, even though she isn't actually on the Gob Squad) was hilarious, even though it included more murder.
But yeah, I'm with Sigma here.

And now, for non-ranting, relatively on-topic postings, anyone hear of a justification for Tauren Shadow Priests? 'cause I could see them being priests of the eclipse, of times when An'she and Mu'sha are together. That actually makes a lot of sense.

Putting this here so I can remember my list of complaints later... :P
So I haven't been to Ashenvale on my Horde character yet, but I was watching over my brother's shoulder as he played.
Apparently
the orcs are downright
using Fel
at this point.
Another edit: Apparently
Garrosh seriously disapproves. That's good I suppose.
Edit:
It seems I've finally found an unmitigated counterpart to the Horde's brutality...
I found Oltarg in the tower at Honor's Stand, and looked him up on Wowhead.
Edit 2:
But, as it turns out, he's more than out-evilled by
this guy
. Still two wrongs don't make a right, I guess. Good to see
some
darkness on the Alliance's side.

New reply because I've decided to catalogue all of the Azeroth's Fortunes on the mini-site, as they have something to do with some races.
Tauren
Crowns shall be taken down, shall be placed on new brows. While the passing of leadership amongst warriors is usually joined with blood and thunder, vile, shadowed acts will still the mightiest hooves. Totems of old shall weep bitter tears.
Orc
As the winds shift their course and the great. rolling seas ebb and flow, a blood-bound kingdom, forged by honor and will, shall bear witness to the twisting paths of time and fate. The son of a giant's heart will supplant a former slave turned wise and noble lord. You will hear his furious scream, inescapable, savagely howling throughout all the lands!
Night Elf
Streams of ash, contested for the substance within, are tainted once more by the blood of the fallen. Ancients felled, their sap used to dam one stream and to release another. Fingers, quick to point, fail to hit their mark, inspiring hope in those who seek to destroy them. One last chance to free the streams of commerce will be sought by those who see the world through verdant eyes.
Dwarf
When the winds scream and the stones shudder, the mountain king shall look to the earth for reasons why. He shall taste the soil beneath his feet and ask its advice in a tongue no longer his own. In reply, he shall be made one with the past and transformed into a paragon among mere stone.
All I could find so far.By the way, I didn't notice until now, but Blizzard added some more fortunes...
Th previous ones were pretty obvious, but these seem a little bit more enigmatic...
Anyone wanna help solve them?
Land once dry and cracked, torn asunder by elements and conflict. A bridge to a stranded port, formed by the realm of sorrow, built from the ashes of a camp once dutifully forgotten. The blood of the innocent, spilled by a crippling fear and the noblest of intentions, cries out for vengeance.
(The Barrens? Desolace?)
The waters and the wind shall beat against a proud city bordered by the mountains and the sea. Once destroyed and once rebuilt, the kingdom shall again face utter ruin. Its sturdy walls shall tremble; its noble people shall flee in terror; and its winding streets shall become a place of savage battle.
(That one obviously is talking about Stormwind, though whether they are referring to the elemental invasion as the source of it's "utter ruin," or some future event, I can't say for sure.)
In a roiling forge generations past, a single hammer was broken into three pieces. The first stayed where it lay, immovable as stone. The second dwelled in shadow, while the third embraced the skies. In time, each became a hammer all its own. Yet fate shall draw them back to where they first were sundered, and only time will tell if that which was broken can ever be reforged.
(The dwarves, obviously.)
Stone walls will crack; smoke will billow; and ash will rain from the sky. The city built upon the shared labor and loyalty of hand, hooves, and claws shall be threatened by flame... one intent on searing and severing the bonds that unite the outcasts of a world.
(I find this one particularly interesting, as it seem to be talking about the Horde.)
