I am searching the database spell by spell in an attempt to find the new hunter pet abilities, every now and then I come across interesting archaeology things.
Druid and Priest Statue Set
Gahz'rilla Figurine
Skull-Shaped Planter
Ironstar's Petrified Shield
These two seem to go together:
Dented Shield of Horuz Killcrow
Notched Sword of Tunadil the Redeemer
New ones:
Skull Staff of Shadowforge
Clockwork Gnome
-
This guy.
Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds
Tiny Bronze Scorpion

Lil'Timmy doesn't have to die... he's something of an Easter egg. In Warcraft though, Blizzard goes out of it's way to keep us from seeing children slaughtered by our respective forces.... even though we know that nearly everyone in Lordaeron, from the Babes in their cribs to the old grandmothers on their last legs were slaughtered by Prince Arthas and his Scourge. Not to mention Rise of the Lich King had the ghost of a girl child lead Arthas away from the ambush by Sylvanas and her banshees back to Kel'Thuzad.

I like the Night Elf figurine, it explains the gender equality.

has her killed brutally and left hanging from a tree burning while the scarlet crusade spit on her corpse and shoot it full of arrows. You're mean.
Either that or I just do not want some stupid OP ten year old undead girl taking over from Sylvanas. Or I simply despise Lillian Voss with about as much hate as the Scarlet Crusade hold for all the undead. And no I do not hate undead in general, nor do I hate the Forsaken, but this one particular undead at least I make an exception.
But yes, it is probably both.
Anyways. While I agree that Voss is a bit of a cliché character, she still adds a nice touch to the Tirisfal Glades... and that place needed it.
As long as she does not take over the Forsaken and as long as she gets her powers nerfed I will be happy, otherwise I would much rather have a madwoman, aka Sylvanas, leading the Forsaken.
I lost all my beliefs in Lillian, being a poor undead girl who was lost and was not sure what she would do, right about when she burned her way through fifty Scarlet Crusaders without them being able to lift a finger to stop her. And then she just goes and launches her father into the air choking him or something and knocks him against the wall to then fall to his death.
Seriously, when I saw that all I could think of was; "You have failed me for the last time,
Admiral
Father."

Okay, maybe Blizzard does show that children at some times meet their ends earlier than what is usually shown, but even so, I doubt Blizzard would introduce an undead anti-Scarlet purple flame using slayer just to have her die.
hear ye hear ye...........
when blizzard introduces a new character to the lore, and gives him or her importance, and relevance on more than just 1 zone, you can tell that someone isn't gonna die any time soon.

She doesn't have relevance in more than one zone (yet) though, does she? :-p Unless you count that there are dead bodies around Sylvanas in WPL that happen to have purple fire on them.

an intresting question has arrisen on the CATA forums, and I bring it here.
a while ago I asked what does the horde crest represents, or why would the orcs choose it.
the answer was, that it's too ambiguous to have any real meaning, it's simply a runic symbol that is both menacing and inspiring, the old horde simply picked it up, tought it looked nice, and used it.
but now an even better question has arrisen.
Why does the alliance uses a lion in their crest? I mean, I know what lions represent (nobility, strenght, leadership and all that) so I get why the CREATORS of warcraft chose that symbol for the alliance, but lore-wise why did the alliance chose it?
there are no lions on the eastern kingdoms, and the alliance had never EVER set foot on kalimdor prior to the third war, yet the lion has been their symbol since the first war.
how come? why would they use an animal they've never seen before as their symbol? This question has arrisen because of the new alliance guild-mount, now make no mistakes, the mount IS awesome, and I'm definitly gonna get it on my alliance alt.
but where did they got those lions? only zone with lions I can recall is Barrens (and there's that white lion on winterspring) but in eastern kingdoms there is no such thing as lions anywhere........

Don't forget that Garrosh' advisor (think he's a new guy though... Orc shaman) turns out to be Twilight as well.
Didn't hear about this.
Went to have another look and turns out it's
Sauranok
from Borean Tundra. Looks like
this
on beta though.

There are 'mountain' lions all over Hillsbrad and Alterac heh; and for all we know there is an extinct race of lions that used to exist in southern Azeroth, and some king killed a bunch of them or tamed them into personal pets.

Remember that random old guy, Anduin Lothar, the Lion of Azeroth? I'd assume that Stormwind's people would know what lions were and what they represented.

This is probably one of the best explanations at the moment. It is like with Dodos, just cause their not around today doesn't mean they can't be used as a symbol for something, although I doubt they are.
I would have to agree with Adams, it is likely that a race of lions lived in the Eastern Kingdoms, perhaps when certain areas were different to what they are now in climate etcetera and later on the went extinct.
Also, apparently Kul Tiras itself might be introduced to World of Warcraft later on in the Cataclysm expansion, I think I saw this on the wowwiki page for Kul Tiras, are there any official sources that suggest that this is true or is likely just speculation? I personally hope Kul Tiras is introduced as that would be awesome.

The Baradin Watchers (the Alliance faction for Tol'Barad) are from the kingdom of Kul'Tiras.

Right, but the actual country itself, with Tandred Proudmoore as the leader, will more then likely(don't quote me on this) not show up for this expansion. If/when it does, should be interesting to see what Jaina will be doing, and which aspect of the Proudmoore family we'll see from the new guy; either the intense(and technically justified) hatred of Orcs his father had, or if he'll be more like his sister and be willing to not shoot first, ask questions after.

Bornakk said that Kul'tiras "will not be visible at the start of Cataclysm". Judging by the wording, it could hint for a later appearance in a patch. But I think Kul'tiras would be more fitting in the Great Sea Expansion (Azshara's).

I agree heh; we already have Gilneas coming back this expansion, don't need Kul Tiras back as well heh.

Also, Kul Tiras is sort of like Britain, certain motivational songs spring to mind which could easily be edited in a the WC universe for Kul Tiras...
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves,
Britons never, never, never will be slaves,
I couldn't bear if Blizz went down the "British" road again, with the abberation that the worgen voice overs are.
