A new member of the Twilight Council
.
Theory of how Rommath is going to betray us all number 12 is finally true then.
The Twilight are getting so many converts... I wonder what kind of dental plan they must offer. Better than the Cult of the Damned I bet.
I can finally stop complaining.
Also, nice touch from Blizzard, corrupting the "Virtue is it's own reward." saying.
well, they aren't the first ones to do so, Mass Effect 2 did it first :P
during the Samara Loyalty mission, a specific set of Renegade responses towards morinth will have Shepard saying "I don't need any rewards, Power itself is its own reward, not the means"

And dozens of other books and movies did it before them.

(it would make more sence if Lorthemar departs too, and rather than having a king, Silvermoon is ruled by a Triunvirate of representatives from the largest organizations in power, AKA a Farstrider, a Magister/Magistrix, and a Blood Knight)
Possibly, but because the dwarves are doing that it would seem rather unoriginal to pull it for the Blood Elves as well.

Quel'thalas did it first though. But I do agree.
Still, putting in perspective, it would still be more ''original'' than another sole ruler.
well, it's not thecnically how I envisioned it.
Today Silvermoon is ruled by a single Regent Lord (the equivalent of a steward) who is aided by 2 sub-leaders, yet one of the leads is a Farstrider, the other is a Magister, but no Blood Knights.
I'd love to see some Triumvirate here, where Lorthemar abdicates to fight in the front lines, Lady Liandrin steps in as the Blood Knight Matriarch, Halduron as the Farstrider's Ranger General, and a new Archmage representing the Magisters.
and no funden :P it's not unoriginal to have the elves rule this way, since as delt pointed out, having a single ruler isn't original either, besides, the elves have more of a reason to rule with a council of 3 rather than a king, more so than the dwarves.
because the elven royal line is dead, no more remain that could posibly take the throne, so a Civilian Goberment of the 3 highest organizations makes sence.
on the dwarven side, I see no reason why Muradin isn't the new king, Magni is (hopefully) incapacitated, and his daughter has renounced her claim to the throne, Brann has no intentions of leaving archeology behind, that leaves Muradin, who is entitled to be the sole ruler of Ironforge.
I really can't see why an outsider from the wildhammer and an outsider from the dark irons must meddle with Ironforge.
is not like the bronzebeards and wildhammers sent someone when thaurisian died, is not like the bronzebeards and dark irons would send someone if Falstad ever dies.........

=O are you sure about that? what about that (absurd) rumor of Varian sending SI:7 assassins after moira?
also, even if what you said was true, why is the Wildhammer in there too?

From what I can gather the three clans are reuniting under the rule of the Council like they were united under the rule of Modimus Anvilmar.

also, even if what you said was true, why is the Wildhammer in there too?Because the Wild Clan wants to come home.... and because Grim Batol is being attacked finally, so why not have a voice for the Wildhammers in the Council of the Ironforge for all the dwarves.

That too; probably also the reason why there are Dark Irons attacking the Airport; angry about Moria's apparent defection back to the Alliance.

Anyone else noticed the number of threads being necroed at the moment?
Also, on the topic of voices, so far Sylvanas is unvoiced in the quest in Gilneas, perhaps either she is getting a new voice actor or they haven't implemented her voice yet. I hope she gets a new one, the old one was good and the new one (as of 3.2.2 or later I believe) is not that great in my opinion.
One thing I can definitely agree on about Cataclysm, it seems to be shaping up to be epic from a lore perspective.

they aren't adding a new voice actress.
while she has no voice in gilneas, she does has a voice in that quest on silverpine where she meets garrosh, and also that quest where she talks to someone and sort of gives a brief resume of the life of the forsakens. and that is the same voice we've seen so far.
personally (and I've said this before i know xD) I don't like her new voice actress, the old one was E-P-I-C. the new one is meh....

mehh, it was ok to pull 6 kings on vanilla :P
besides, it would be 1 triunvirate on the alliance, and 1 on the horde.
xD is just me being a Liandrin fan. I hope she gets some spotlight in CATA.

With no well-known lore character that could take Rommath's place as Grand Magister, well, yeah, Liadrin's going up there.
I'm sure the Church will be more than happy to appoint a new Archbishop, so the ''
Magisterium
'' (if that's their name) would as well. But that certainly doesn't forbid Liadrin getting up there (or just back in the Blood Knight's Headquarters).
Naturally, but I doubt the higher-ups (aka Blizzard) would implement a new Archbishop or Grand Magister without having a role for them, and so far, we haven't seen anything like that. If it happens in the pre-Cata days, they've kept their cards very close to their chest.
Actually, they are called "Magisters" and their members are Magi :P
and sooner or later they HAVE to appoint a new leader, no organization can run without a head to give some directions, the Church will need a new archbishop, and the Magisters will need a new Arch Mage.
