give it a rest darkton, the horse is dead, I for one will not continue this debate. if you wanna continue it, do so with someone else.
and BTW, check the context of those posts you've quoted, I still have never fully said that the forsakens were the ones atacked, I pointed out why
I think
they were atacked, but since that's not solid evidence, I will not use that in an actual debate.
and now moving to a more cheerful topic:
why is it that we've never went to the new zones?
aja, I get that we never entered uldum in the past due to that huge forcefield guarding the place and making it look like nothing but pure mountains........
we never entered vashj'ir because its sunken and while in cataclysm we misteriously adquire the means to survive down there, right now we don't have them.
we never entered deepholme because the elemental plains are isolated from the main realm.
and if we never entered hyjal it was probably due to how it was blocked in darkwhisper gorge, and how most races were reluctant to go to the world tree.
but what has been stoping us to go to the twillight highlands? they have been right there next to the wetlands all the time........
on the same line, in the past we never went to outland because the dark portal was closed, but what was stoping us from going to northrend at the start of wow and prevent the growth of the scourge before they had a chance to reinforce icecrown so well?

(This is to Rankkorr's question)
Others threats somewhere else I suppose. The main armies of both factions where occupied in others places (before Silithus I don't know where the hell they where but well). Probably before the Cataclysm there wasn't any major threat stationed in the Twilight Highlands (and maybe the reds guarding Grim Batol didn't gave passage to the zone).

we never entered deepholme because the elemental plains are isolated from the main realm. There are beings who can walk the Planes, you see it in the RPG books.
and if we never entered hyjal it was probably due to how it was blocked in darkwhisper gorge, and how most races were reluctant to go to the world tree. The Circle has been protecting it since the end of the Battle of Mt Hyjal; if your not suppose to go in, you'd be killed by the Guardians of Hyjal.
but what has been stoping us to go to the twillight highlands? they have been right there next to the wetlands all the time.No real reason to enter them at that point; they weren't a threat exactly.
on the same line, in the past we never went to outland because the dark portal was closed, but what was stoping us from going to northrend at the start of wow and prevent the growth of the scourge before they had a chance to reinforce icecrown so well?No Infinites there, so the Bronze won't interfere.

One does not simply walk into Twilight Highlands.

@darkton:
I went there just now, at 1:52 AM server time (when there is likely little or no questing being done to interfere with the status of the North Fleet Reservists), and these are my results:
There are definitely incapacitated NPCs there (
Pic
and
Pic
), however, they are at full health (
Pic
) and are attackable (
Pic
and
Pic
).
For comparison, I flew up north and found one of the bodies that you need to burn for the quest
War is Hell
(
Pic
). Note that it is green (friendly), has no health, and is not attackable.
Take from this what you will. I personally subscribe to the belief that the sailors are laying down because of the plague being thrown at them, even though they are like that even when no one is bombing them, and I believe that for these reasons:
The quest
Test at Sea
clearly states that they are the reinforcements sent by the Alliance, so they almost certainly were not engaged in the battle.
If the incapacitated sailors were due to a sea battle, I would expect to see them in a fully-dead state, like the corpse we have to burn.
We know that this particular strain of plague at this point only causes nausea, loss of equilibrium and severe stomach pain. It is non-lethal, and could conceivably cause the results we see at the ships.
Why are they laying down when there's only one other Hordie in the whole zone with me? I don't know. However, I would speculate that either: A. They are like that because no one is even "supposed" to see them until the quest, at which point they will be way up in the sky throwing plague on them. Or B., originally, the NPCs were all standing, and when people fly by and throw plague on them, they get some kinda of invisible buff that makes them lay down.
There are some problems with B., namely that after continued bombing, every NPC on every boat should be laying down with the invisible buff.
I am currently in the process of testing it, which I will do by killing every NPC on a boat and waiting for them to respawn. If they respawn in the incapacitated position, that will mean that B. is impossible.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright, I've finished the test, and the results are quite promising:
I killed every reservist on one of the boats, waited for the corpses to despawn, and then checked back to see if there were any incapacitated reservists.
After careful searching, I found none (
Pic
,
Pic
, and
Pic
).
To make doubly sure, I repeated the test on another ship, and got the same results. No incapacitated sailors.
If I had another character that was eligible to do the Test at Sea quest, I would, in order to bomb my boats of unaffected sailors and then come back to see if they were now incapacitated, but I think this is evidence enough that B. must be the correct answer.

I was just thinking... dragons are real people, right? Powerful beings, with extremely strong mage powers. So... why can we mount them and fly around on them whenever we want?Because they allow us to. Why do you think you can't just buy them without doing something important first? :P

Farming a couple of heroics while wearing their tabard and having 1600 handy or killing a Twilight dragon doesn't make them our own personal slaves :PThey're not our slaves. For the Ruby Drake, I would wager that it's a "you've done so much for us already, one of our drakes has agreed to bear you if you make a donation."
And with the Black/Twlight drakes, I'd say it's like a "please don't kill me, I'll let you ride me!" thing.

the dragons are not animals, we ride on them because they let us, as a favor for proving ourselves to them.
lore-wise, my Onyx netherdrake lets me ride on his back as a token of thanks for rescuing his brood from the claws of the Illidari dragonmaw orcs.
that being said, note that they (even the reds after you're exalted with them)only agree to let you ride on their backs, they will NOT help you in other tasks even when they theoretically can.
for example, if horde, and you wanna atack some alliance NPC's u're on your own there, the dragon will not help you do that. (And Vice-Versa)
BTW skree, nice pics :P (I cound't resist to point out that the north fleet is like, the only part of northrend that we see draenei "En-masse" after moving from this spot they become more rare than a purple unicorn in northrend, with us only seeing like 1 on each zone . =/ Really unfair, as they are my favorite alliance race, I was hoping to see more of them in northrend when I came there in my alliancea alt.

For the dragon question; we don't ride on full grown ones without permission; the things we ride on are Drakes: Adolescent Dragons, who are probably helping us by order of their flight leaders, or after we saved them(the bronze, black and twilight). The Proto's are intelligent animals, but no where near the level of the actual dragons.
