....I thought you would want to read the thread Funden... sorry for posting it lol.
Edit: And did you notice the dates there Funden? Morec posted his back towards the end of March lol, and his was from youtube itself. And there's nothing wrong with necroing old threads if they are still relevant, as long as it doesn't descend into a new flame war. I get your angry at Tauren, but don't take it out on me man.
I'm sorry, I reacted badly last night. I was nauseous and tired, and I thought you were posting it for other reasons. I'm sorry, it was my bad and I apologize.
Now I better start reading 23 pages =P

This
is pretty much the full counter-argument after that thread was posted.
Also a good read.

Yeah I was reading both articles, and I see that both are right and both are wrong.
What I mean by that is that Skreeran puts up a good defense, but so does the writer of the article. However what I see is that both sides refuse to believe the other is right, and that only their faction is correct.

Alliance Politics: Dwarves, Part 1.
And here be
Part 2.
So I was reading this... remember when you (I think it was Orranis/Adams) told me that Muradin wasn't a Mountain King/Thane?
Read this:
Years back, my father and several other frostborn were returning from a trek across Dragonblight. There was a heavy blizzard... far worse than we've ever seen since. They crossed a trail of blood-soaked snow and followed it to a dwarf wandering and speaking in a dialect they couldn't make out... and not a dwarf of our kind mind you, but a mountain dwarf - something our kind had not seen before.
The dwarf seemed lost, having no memory of where he came from, or even of his own name. Not being the kind to leave a dwarven cousin to die in the snow, my father's party took him in and continued back towards Frosthold. Not long later, out of nowhere, the snow burst before them and a jormungar the size of Veranus herself came down upon their party... one of them was swallowed whole before they even had time to react.
My father thought they were all doomed... but behind him, a furious roar rumbled across the snow, and he turned to see the mountain dwarf growing in size, his skin taking on a stone-like texture, and his hands sizzling with lightning. The dwarf barreled forward with a sound like rolling thunder and hurled a shining metal hammer, lightning coursing over its surface, directly into the jormungar's throat.
The jormungar collapsed instantly, its head barely still attached to its convulsing body. My father turned to the dwarf in awe and raised a fist in praise... The stranger having no name of his own, my father deemed "Yorg," a name reserved for the champions of legend. Years later, he now stands before us as Yorg Stormheart, King of the Frostborn. King Stormheart has trained us well... turned us into even more fearsome warriors than we could have boasted during the time of our war with the Frost Giants.
Anyways, a good read. I have decided not to argue for Varian anymore (to be honest, I don't really care for him), and I will just remain with dwarves.

Not me Funden, I know Muradin's a mountain king(class wise), though now being the Frostborn leader, he's a 'true' king.

Oh, must have just been Orranis then.

I'm thinking that my Belf Warrior will be Cata!Arms spec. Y'know with the ton of extra swings? Seems to fit their mentality more than Fury... but knowing me, Fury would be the most awesome thing ever.
what? don't tell me that watching an anorexic medieval-barbie-like female blood elf with a prissy attitude go all frenzied in a red tide of unrelenting RAGE AND FURY and ripping the enemy to shreds to the point that you clearly can't believe such a fragile cutie could be also a rampaging murdering whirlwind of madness rage fury and destruction woudn't be cool?
come on :P

Because they don't have spellbreakers in massive plate, or ret palas with (not so on belf female) big-ass swords swung madly in a divine storm of retribution, or anything. :P

meh, a spellbreaker trowing his glaive and hiding under those big shields while they eat mana and biscuits aint hardcore.
a paladin slaying foes with stolen light energy while powerfull it's not the same.
a warrior rather than rely on simple magic power, just goes on a frenzied rage, and is even more amazing when done by a fem blood elf warrior, by far the most slim and frail-looking one.
I still doubt I make a blood elf warrior on cata, (Warrior is reserved for worgen) as I already have a blood elf toon, and I want some variety.

Heh, I probably will make a blood elf warrior. I'm just drawn to belf females and their slight frames. They make such epic casters and plate wearers. ;)
Rogues and Hunters...not so much.

Hey! I have a female belf rogue and the whole armor looks fine (sadly I can't get any of the quest armor because of my BoA gear)

Hehe, undead make much better looking rogues though, in my opinion. ;)

True, but I already had an undead death knight and mage (and, come cata, I'll have a hunter). And I agree with rank: deversity is good.

agreed, have you seen their "battle expression" when they wield a 2hander and are in combat? all races have diferent facial expresions for when sleeping, taking damage, doing skills, standing idly, or atacking.
the facial expression of a blood elf female when in battle position is priceless :D here lemme get a screenshot to ilustrate my point.
Edit: screenies.

check out that awesome wicked grin :D pure epicness, and the draenei (both male and female) have their own versions of awesomeness, blizz did an splendid job on these 2 races (and a crapastic job on most of the original 8 races, specially orcs)
their casting animation and melee animations are awesome, blizz did a great job with belves and dranei, they really are the best races in horde and alliance respectively, wich is why I have such high expectations for worgens and goblins, because the last 2 new races added by blizz were spectacular, I can't wait to see how epic the new 2 are gonna be.
and female undeads make the best rogues, and best tanks (their animation when holding 1wep+shield is the best)
and ya, as much as I like belves diversity is what keeps the game going, one of my goals in wow is to have 1 toon of each race at the level cap (for time reasons I only intend to do progression and gearing up on 1)
I already have an orc shaman, Belf DK, human pally, on cata I'll add Worgen Warrior, Gnomish priest, Goblin rogue, forsaken hunter, troll druid, and laugh my ass off a night-elven mage.
"yo yo s'up? I'm a mage, who the hell cares if my entire society is what it is by rejecting the arcane arts, i'ma still gonna be a mage because shooting icebolts and arcane misiles is awesome and I'll never have to cook again yo"
