Anyone know if Arthas was "killed" or considered undead before he became the Lich King?
He was steadily dying after he picked up Frostmourne; that's what the hair and eye colour change was suppose to signify. Once he put on the helmet though, he was a true corpse.
Still, it seems that one can weild death knight powers without actually being dead - it was more of less Frostmourne killing him and there are Necromancers that arn't dead.
Not really; there are no actual 'alive' Death Knights after all; they all died before they were resurrected, even Arthas lost his soul, which started his death at the hands of Frostmourne. As for the Necromancers, that's a different kettle of fish; after all, the player Warlocks are uncorrupted by using fel magic, so it makes sense that the living can use Nercomancy, but, and you saw it in the RP Books, the Necromancer prestige class steadily 'dies' as he increases in levels till 20 when he's a walking corpse with his full magical power.
Hmm, very true.

As much as I like the savagekin, how rare are they?
Incredibly.
Savagekin
, and hey Light, if you use one.. it's a Cat, not a Wolf, no Druid is capable of taking a wolf form.

There is no wolf form for druids, look through all of the Druids of the.... whatever; The forms are Stags, Bears, Felines, Serpents, Birds, and the Snake(for a very rare group). And they are rare, most druids don't want to give up their elven forms to descend into the beast.

Well, there's more, if you count the Troll's getting nature powers through the Loa. However, there is no known Loa of wolves. Also, we don't know how far this "Allies of the Moon" thing goes with Worgen, and because the wolf is such a common archetype in Germanic folklore, the folklore of which the humans in WoW is based on, it could be possible that there would be wolf shifters.

Druids don't have a connection to the Wolves; the Shamans do of course, but if you look on any of the Druid pages, they don't mention wolves anywhere beyond the ancient one. The Trolls will probably fall under the standard druid mold, same as the Worgens.

In game, but in lore I disagree. For now it's all how you want to think of it.
Forsaken Hunters are Dark Rangers, Dwarven Shamans are Avatars, Troll Druids are a weird Shadow Hunter / Witch Doctor mix, etc.

That's just your opinion Face, the Lore itself proves that each class is there own separate thing.

But the game is not the lore. I'm not arguing the similarities between Druids and Voodoo Priests, I'm arguing that they're different things lumped together for game mechanics, while in lore Trolls still are generally not Druids. Edit: This of course, is my opinion. Just as them not being is yours. I will continue to stick with my opinion until more evidence is provided.

The RP books prove that they all count as their own individual class.
Edit: And by the way, up to Cata, the only Dwarf Shamans were the Wildhammers, who have no Mountain King class as that is only the Ironforge dwarves.

Playable Dwarves are Ironforge, I don't see your point. They are all individual class, they just get lumped together for the purpose of lore. I didn't see why the Dwarves didn't have shamans in the first place because it is so similar to Mountain King, but you could say it is either the Mountain King or the Wildhammers lesson, or a combination of the two.

/sigh Dude, Wildhammer was the only Dwarven Race with Shamans In Lore itself; there were no Ironforge Dwarves till Cataclysm in the Lore. There is no mention of a Mountain King with the Wildhammer dwarves because it is a Ironforge dwarf thing only; dwarves who live under the Ground, not above ground in the sky; seeing as an Avatar would never be able to fly in the air.

What? What does that have anything to do with what I just said?

Mountain Kings have nothing to do with Shamans simple as that.

Ahh but they do. They use the same sources of power, channeled through different sources of worship. For the sake of game mechanics and that in all probability they will never make a Mountain King class, being to selective of races, it would be perfectly acceptable to punch them together.
It's kind of like the Tauren Paladins. Different worship, same power and game mechanics.

Huh? Shamans draw on the Spirits, Mountain Kings draw on the power of themselves.

But either way, the result is the same, yes? The powers of the Titans (imbued in the Dwarves) earth and storm and the Elementals earth and storm are still both earth and storm.
