I simply feel sorry for Sylvanas. I couldn't hate her. To use a real life example (yes, I know people hate it when I do that), it'd be like hating Elizabeth Fritzl if she went on a murder spree of people she deemed to be to blame for her imprisonment.
Yes, it would be wrong, but I would still feel bad for her.

Eh, like I said, I've aired my feelings on her, and I still believe the best thing possible is just to put Sylvanas down like the mad dog she is.

Even though I didn't like Sylvanas' methods, I can't help but pity her when I see what Arthas put her through.
Pity her, feel sorry for her whatever, but she's been slowly descending to Arthas/The Lich King level, so put her down before she puts all of us in our graves.

Adam, I wouldn't put her and the Lich King on the same level.

Let's see: She created a super weapon designed to kill the Living and the Dead, she's been working side by side with a Dreadlord for the last 6 years.... and seemed surprised when he betrayed her. She's going down the same path of madness that Arthas did, and she's enjoying creating a new plague like the Lich King...... She's on that path, and she'll reach it if no one stops her.

Next to Sylvanas, Arthas went down his path for practically no reason. You really can't blame Sylvanas for any of her actions, based on what she's been through.
If that means the same to you as not blaming a rabid dog for biting someone when you put it down, then so be it, but Arthas is despiccable; Sylvanas makes me sad.

If that means the same to you as not blaming a rabid dog for biting someone when you put it down, then so be it, but Arthas is despiccable; Sylvanas makes me sad.And you feel sad when you put down your poor pet dog after it becomes rabid. And yes the Lich King is evil, and Arthas's true nature came out after he pulled Frostmourne free. It's sad that he captured Sylvanas and what he did to her.... but she's too focused on revenge over everything, which just means she's leading us onto a path of endless conflict.
Sylvanas is obessed with her revenge, and for now, all the living are lucky that most of that is focused on Arthas.... so what happens when the Lich King dies? What's next? Does she start after the humans, because of what Arthas did? Does she go for the orc's because 20 years ago they attacked her people in Quel'danas? Does she go after the Darkspear Trolls because their trolls and the mortal enemy of the Elvish race?I still think I'm right about that; if she doesn't get herself killed during the final fight with the Lich King, who know's who's next on her revenge hit list. Her mind isn't all there..... literally and figuritivly.

Cataclysm This section concerns content exclusive to Cataclysm.
In interview with Chris Metzen, Metzen revealed that Sylvanas was ordered to move south into Gilneas because the Horde wanted a port in northern Lordaeron. Metzen mentioned that Sylvanas was "in the dog house" with the Horde after the Wrathgate events and has to move when the leadership of the Horde orders her to do so.
Sounds like in that case it is more to do with the war with the Alliance.... but that comment makes no sense, as there is already ports in Northren Lordaeron, as seen in the 2nd/3rd wars; chasing after Gul'dan and his men, and heading north to Northrend.
Of course, I'm sure she told her soldiers to go all out.... and I still hope Greymane bites her head off heh.

Well, Arthas went north somehow, and he didn't travel down to Menethil Harbour or Gilenas to leave. And I don't recall the Alliance forces leaving from Gilenas during the second war(could be wrong about that), and Southshore is just a fishing village, not a full on port.

Eh, we all know Blizzard just wants a reason to turn Silverpine into a Conflicted zone; still, shouldn't be surprised they "forget" the existing ports in Trisfal, Silverpine or wherever they were.

Hmm, Lordaeron may have had the ports, but lost them in the Third War?

...They might have all been located in the Plaguelands though.

Where? No where in the Plagueland's connect to the sea...... except for the destroyed Enclave...... but that isn't really part of Lordaeron.

I always thought there was a port somewhere in/near Stratholme. :S
There's the DK area too :)
