Even if it only has a 70% uptime, that's 77 defense rating (15.65 @ 80) and 1085 armor.
That's 0.63 dodge parry and block with ~1-2% physical damage mitigation.
This make the sword superior to every other tanking weapon until ilevel
258 weapons
in terms of survival.
Now for threat...

140 damage reduction is better than 59 stamina for heroics imo.

on the topic of the weapon, I think it's a good choice though obviously not "bestinslotzomg". for one thing, going from Titanguard to Quel'Serrar means a loss of stam and strength, strength being perhaps more notable because Quel'Serr has zero. this means less weapon strength (assuming 10man Quel'Serrar, where as 25's DPS might be a
slight
improvement) and less SP from TbtL.
however, the sheer defensive power (and uptime if I'm hearing people right) seems like more than a good trade-off to me.

The +59 Stam is about having a buffer for raw incoming damage.

Don't count miss as avoidance, the DR is severe on that from what I hear.
From what I can write on paper, like I've mentioned previously, 25 QS is best for survival until 258+ weapons, however, titanguard has HIT and Strength.
I don't see an issue with carrying a survival weapon and a threat weapon.
