Not possible. The closest you can come is have an addon modify a macro for you.You might want to take a look at Buffet.

They could probably adapt Deconstructive to handle this kind of thing, right?
Otherwise, yah, Buffet would work.

They could probably adapt Deconstructive to handle this kind of thing, right?Easily doable. You'd actually have to delete more lines than add.
I've been thinking of coding some kind of universal automatic macro modifying system, but I'm too lazy.

Not true, you can fall through for non-existing items.
/use item1
/use item2
will work just fine, but will always show the icon for item1 no matter what.
I've got an IHML macro that I use on the tournament dailies that tries to use both summon items for the vykruul at the same time, and that macro functions perfectly well (ie. if I have the horn and am by the statues it will use that, otherwise if I'm in the cave and have the shard it will use that instead) :P

Fair enough, but there are cases where you'd use both items effectively wasting one of them.

I'm pretty sure /stopmacro is protected, and if it's not that would do nothing, since the /aftercast will execute after the macro has run all its lines (doing nothing, as no macro is running at the moment).

I'm actually fiddling with an addon to create new buttons that check your inventory for food, pick either the best (or worst) you have, giving preference to ones that give you a "well fed" buff, keeps track of the well fed timer (presenting food that doesn't give one during the presumed duration of the one you ate first) and present them to you if you're OOC, and potions/Healthstones if you're in combat.
It's fairly complex, and I don't even have it running yet (haven't even tried...getting the mechanisms programmed first) but it should be useful once it's ready.
