Its probally since dks already have a bad rep to begin with and second, with the new loot system people are expected to have at least ilvl 213 +. But honestly your just having bad luck finding decent people to group with...especially since its heroics.

Dps is Dps imo, no matter the gear, well I mean yes, depending on if you socket and gem your gear correctly it shouldn't matter if you use pvp gear or raiding gear. Too many people on Wow are kids and have a fit about anything really, you can't even ask a simple question anymore without someone treating you like complete @#$%, its annoying and frankly it ruins the game at hand. I know everybody is against DK's but it's always like someones against at least
one
class because they are OP. But the way I see it, some people have more skill than others, and well that's how you learn is by playing the class more and learning from your mistakes. But as Maxeer said you're probably not finding the right groups, which is natural sometimes, just think of it in other terms, its their loss and not yours, they probably failed the place anyways lol

For heroics i generally don't give a **** about the gear of pug members. They are to easy anyway.
Generally for PvE, anyone who might apply to the guild I'm in or wants to join my PuG
raids
, a slot with hateful or deadly is generally a slot that could easily be changed to something better.
Furious and relentless are at that iLevel where there might not be better before the "hard" raids.
Hateful vs. T7 (Head)
43sta/43resi vs. 37crit/29hit
Furious vs. T8.5 (Head)
43sta/64resi vs. 8sta/8crit/64exp
Furious vs. T7 (Head)
31str/90sta/64resi/106armor vs. 17crit/29hit.
Not to mention that about 8 out of 10 people in PVP gear generally has low dps/healing in raids. That's my personal experience at least.

The problem is not with the PvP gear (which is of about the same use for PvE then 1 tier lower PvE gear), the problem is with players that get their quick and easy PvP gear and then think since they have so much purple on their char they can walk through instances.
PvP gear doesn't mean you are a noob and it certainly doesn't mean you don't know how to play your class. But the sad truth is that out of those that are mostly in PvP gear the vast majority are noobs and don't know how to play their class.
Not the gear is bad, the players usually are. The raid leader can't be bothered to check boss dps of every raid member before accepting / rejecting them. It is basically impossible for the raid leader to know that you are one of those rare good players using PvP gear so he just assumes that you - like most PvP geared players - suck.
By the way: When dps can't even break 1k in heroics it starts to get annoying. With a proper spec and in quest greens most classes get close to 1k at lvl 70 or around lvl 75 the latest. A lvl 80 char with less then 1k is just pathetic.

1) level in AV
2) ding 80
3) use your honor points to buy pvp items, equip them, then sell them back to the vendor
4) repeat 3) until you get
5) use your epic achivement to get into pugs, but run around naked/citygear/iron boot flask'd till you actually have to fight something
6) use damage meters from said fight to counter any arguments about your gear afterwards
profit?

I'd say epic fail.

i don't know about your server, but on mine there is so many bad DKs... and people who just don't know how to play on group for heroics or anything in PvE. I'm not saying your dps is bad, but some PvP players just don't know anything how to pull a pack of mobs. I do heroics, a lot, and what i see is that: pvp players wearing their pvp gear, doing excelent *initial* dps then... on some part of the dungeon they just start to do everything wrong, people wipe... and of course blame the pvp gear guy.
I don't give a &*!@ if the player is wearing pvp gear, if he/she fail at some point, i'll kick they from the group.
