Im tring out
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info8418-GhostPulse2.html
now.
First impressions are mixed. Sound isnt implemented becuse the author has not fixed it yet but knows about it. Default config is extremely spammy, so /pulse and turn off 'early warning' for alot of stuff. I have it turn on for ONLY when buffs are about to fall off so I can get warned and rebuff rebuff before they do.
Once sound is fixed, download Jims Cooldown Pulse, and steal the soundfile in there and use it. Its very nice to have a sound notification along with this stuff. Hopefully the author will include the same and the effect that Jim has, witch is a real pulse along with the sound.
Addon score (once configured): 7/10

Pallypower for blessings/seals/auras/RF. If you don't have it, I don't want you in my raid.

I haven't used pally power since BC.
Way to be needlessly and irrationally addon-elitist.

ZOMGBuffs then, if you like it more. The thing is, if you are a paladin and don't show up in my blessings assignment window, you either manage to appear there quickly, or stay outside the raid instance portal.
Call it addon-elitist if you will, I call it the rules of my raid.

My 7 year old sister has it on her lvl 4 pally (more because she doesn't know how to disable the addons I had on already for her), I don't have it on either of my 80 pallies.
Have fun raiding with her.

I have to say I agree with silversmith.
Too many times I go to a raid with 6+ pallies.. (at least 1 of each spec) and i end up with might and whatever i give.
No pally-power (or similar addon) = bad pally.
Edit:
Bad spelling
Edit 2:
Another thing... auras.. with so many pallies that inevitably go... why is it I only ever have 2... maybe 3 auras?
Bad pallies are bad

Pally who can't buff without an addon = bad pally
Pally who can buff without an addon = good pally

Then Dragonmaw must be filled with bad pallies.
Sad, as not only do I use the addon... I also announce in raid what blessing/aura i will be doing

If you're in a guild and you can't coordinate with other paladins what blessings to use without a mod, you're in trouble. Especially now that there's only 4 blessings to give out (3 if you don't have a prot paladin).
In my guild runs some people use mods for their buffs, others just pay attention to them without the need for mods. In general each pally keeps their assignment from raid-to-raid until reassigned. The only important things to get out are Kings and Sanc, since Might and Wisdom can be given out by other classes. Mana Spring Totem always fully talented on resto shaman, and BoW rarely is on a holy paladin.
Pally power was more important in BC when there was 5 blessings to put up at all times, and you couldn't get them from other classes. (edit: was there 5? I don't remember when they got rid of light)

Dont get me wrong, Im a fan of PallyPower, it makes buffing easier on me. But you are giving wholly foul reasoning for why it should be used.
If you have 6 paladins in a raid or each type, and they are too %^&*ing stupid to understand Holy=Wisdom Ret=Might Prot=Kings then they are not going to be the type of people to understand the inter-workings of the world of addons.

No need to fight over this.
There are two points here that people are trying to state, but its just coming out the wrong way.
Silversmith
doesn't like to have pallys with no pally power in his raids because he is used to control that pally power gives him. With pally power he doesn't need to talk to the other paladins and make sure that they are buffing. In raids with 2 paladins 1 an prot and 1 a Holy, Silversmith can not only easily assing buffs but also set up 10 minute buffs on each pally, that way the Port gets a Sanc and a kings while the Holy gets a Kings and a wisdom. Silversmith likes the idea of not needed to check on other paladins during a raid because he is confident that even a fresh paladin can notice when his pally power is red, meaning he needs to rebuff. What happens when that Warlock needs to leave the raid because his mom says its bedtime? Silversmith can bring in the fury DPS warrior and change pally power to not bless might, with out having to type whispers or raid comments that will simply take up more time.
MischievousLoki
and others, Who I have great respect for because they are GOOD paladins and have countless posts showing they know what they are talking about, Simply are trying to say that you don't need a mod to manage something like blessings in game. While it takes an extra second to whisper a command to another pally, its that personal interation that keeps the game lively.
Michievous has might tonight
Hatman will be doing Sanc
Silversmith you got kings
And lets make sure a shammen is dropping for MP5!
Eitherway, Pally power or not, The raid is going to get done.
My prefference is to use Pally power AND whisper the paladins to tell them that i have taken the time to set up their buffs on the mod.
Happy raiding.
